Let's be realistic.
I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Fantastic!
Don't listen to the negative reviews
Scream talked about the rules if you are going to survive a horror movie. Well there's nothing out there is the pretext to that and have other rules of surviving a horror movie in the woods which includes no skinny dipping. I love the Mike character, reminds me allot of me. He is the best written character in this whole movie. The others are good too but he has to be my favorite. The brilliant writing and subtext. The acting is better then some serious horror movies and the effects are incredible. This has got to be the best movie that you never heard of. All and all a great movie worth watching over and over again. 9 STARS.
I love this spoof of alien movies. The cast was excellent, especially Craig Peck as the nerdy guy who knows there is something out there. He had the best lines, and even though at times he was a little too winy, he was the most likable of the bunch. In this one ALL the lead actresses take their clothes off, and two of the guys too (I could have done without the hairy ass shot). The alien creature was very funny looking, not scary at all, the effects were somewhat poor, but I still love this film.It has something that appeals to me, I don't know if its the girls (they all are so hot) or simply because is a very funny film.
*A Spoiler or two*'There's Nothing Out There' starts off ok aswell as Mike who seems to know all about horror movies which makes it slightly amusing but that was done better by Jamie Kennedy in Scream. It is all let down by the actual monster who is really the sorriest monster you will ever see in a horror movie. It looks like somebody with a very bad cold has sneezed on the floor and hasn't bothered to wipe it up. A small green fat blob which is a cross between Slimer from Ghostbusters, a critter from Critters and a piece of clay. It actually does rip a bit of the story from critters. I think the guys behind this should have stuck a maniac with an axe in this instead of a bad looking midget monster. It is occasionally funny and does poke fun at the horror genre but it is pretty bad. Worth watching for the cliches alone, not much else though. 4/10.
I saw this movie one late night on cinemax, and had to own it. It took me over a year to find it for sale. That's how much I love it. The acting isn't that good, except for PECK, but don't let that stop you. Peck's character tells you the signs and rules of horror movies, way before SCREAM. Couple of classic scenes i.e. cat falling from ceiling, actor swinging on a boom mike, and the classic line "The only thing we know about it is it, like everyone else hates a mouth full of shaving cream!" As horror movie I give it -2 stars, as horror spoof +10.
