Best movie of this year hands down!
A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Ask yourself did Tommy Kirk need the money ? Watch for the "kept" female prisoner continually going into the cage to feed the prisoners, while they ask her if she'll open the cage for them. Meanwhile she exits the cage via a door to the house as they watch her leave each time. Bonkers !! She never leaves through the cage door they want her to open. Was this written for and by complete idiots or as a comedy ?
This film rivals "Plan 9" for sheer badness. The creature costume is a wetsuit with pingpong balls and rubber teeth glued to the headpiece and worn backwards. It's even more hilarious when you realize that it's supposed to be a dinosaur! There is interminable footage of the farmer and his wife going up and down stairs in their home for no apparent reason. The victims are "held prisoner" in a cave from which they could apparently leave at any time. The unforgettable line of dialog has to be the farmer saying of the creature "I decided to make it my friend!" The heartwarming story of a man, his monster, and the folks he fed to it. Highly recommended if you can find it! What a hoot!
the end of its alive was sad when belle was shot through her heart by the farmer after she was about to blow up the monster and she had a look of terror on her face as she died and she screamed a cry of terror as she died from the fatal gunshot into her heart she should not have died at all she should have lived she died way to quickly after the bullet struck her heart she was dead within a few seconds the farmer never should have fired the fatal shot that killed her and he did not feed her for days on end belle was a good kind lady she also was sweet she suffered fatally from her gunshot wound to her heart she instantly died from being shot
I love watching Buchanon's films because they are true examples of extremely bad film-making. At least Wood's films are at times entertaining because of the "so bad it's laughably good" mentality that we lovers of bad film enjoy. But most of Buchanon's films, (and this one is my favorite because, well, it's just so laughably horrible) have production values so low it makes you wonder how they ever got made in the first place. In addition, most of the non 'name" actors take the word "wooden" to new dimensions. It's almost as if Larry went out of his way to say, "no, quit acting!" And let's face it, next to Buelah from It Conquered, or the endearing Ro-Man, the swamp creature costume is so bargain basement it reminds me of the super-8 films i made as a kid. I'm sorry. I love this movie.
