Young Lucas finds out he's not really a human after he surprisingly transforms into a monster in front of the most popular kids at school. His search for Monster Island and his real roots takes him on a fabulously scary journey that puts him face to face with more tentacles, fangs and far-out situations than he can shake one of his new wings at.

Perfect cast and a good story
A Masterpiece!
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.
This film actually surprised me with how good it was and made me laugh which was a great thing. I liked that it showed the bad guy throughout the movie and his plans as well as showing the boys and how he goes from a normal boy to a monster and then saving the day. Great family film and one I will definitely watch again.
This movie gives me very mixed feelings....the story feels of and doesn't have a very fluid pacing, then again the animation style isn't ugly and it's pretty unique. There are several animation errors and at the end they give some sudden message about family or something? (again..the pacing is wierd) It's a bad movie that I wouldn't recommend you to watch personally but I think a four year old could get some enjoyment out of it,hence why this review gets a 4 out of 10
well i liked watching it even if you don't see much of him turning into a monster until near to the end but from what i read from other reviewer pages they don't care for it much.so though i would love to see a number 2 of the movie doubt there will be one as i would love to see more of him as a monster and how he gets on.and its not as bad as those review sites make it out to be so i would watch again.
Sometimes a teenager feels like a monster and this is an entertaining movie that tells you about her and a secret fantasy world. The animation seems a little rustic but it is a style of its own.I caught the idea of trying to connect and assume its origin as a monster and find in its roots its own identity. The story seems simple but I think it is ideal for boys if they want to entertain with the problems of puberty in an exaggerated way.
