This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
Have an appreciation for horror with shades of thriller, slasher can be done well as well. So despite hearing a lot of negativity, 'The Bunnyman Massacre's' premise did really intrigue. Plus the cover was an attention-grabbing one. Really wanted to like it and for it to not be another waste of decent potential. Watching it, unfortunately 'The Bunnyman Massacre' turned out to be exactly that...a waste of decent potential and with exactly the same flaws as the first 'Bunnyman'. Not how to execute an intriguing idea. It's not irredeemably awful by any stretch, there is one good thing. Sadly eclipsed by the numerous things 'The Bunnyman Massacre' gets catastrophically wrong. Some unintentional humour that was just cheesy and irritating, the attempts at seriousness felt misplaced and the incoherence of the editing and the dialogue make it very difficult to take it seriously and the horror elements were predictable, not scary and too tame, no matter how much gratuitous blood effects it threw in. Lets get the good things out of the way first. The best thing about 'The Bunnyman Massacre' is the villain's look, it is great. So cool and menacing, not goofy at all.Uniformly the acting ranges from very bad to truly terrible, lots of histrionics and an equal amount of phoning in. Their cringe-worthy, unintentionally silly dialogue (one deserves a prize if they succeed in not bursting out laughing when they're not meant to, that is a challenge), annoying characters with stupid and illogical decision-making and behaviours and indifferent direction gave them no favours. Neither did the story, which is paper thin and much of it doesn't make any sense, with scenes that bear no relevance. There is no tension or suspense here, no surprises, no creativity, no wit and the only thing that is scary is the look of the villain and the scare factor ends there. The kills are un-creative, instead of biting the nails one is shrugging their shoulders, and the whole horror atmosphere feels both tame and overdone (so much gratuity here) and leans towards being dumb.'The Bunnyman Massacre' is an eyesore visually. With the lighting and camera work, it seemed to striving for the showing off or experimenting with supposedly arty to them feel but instead it comes off amateurish and nauseating. The editing is incoherent. Cannot remember the music, other than its over-bearing intrusiveness.Overall, not irredeemable but very bad. 2/10 Bethany Cox
Based on a supposed "true event" that started the "Bunny man" urban legend in West Virginia, this second chapter is slightly better than the first, but still pretty bad. After blowing away a bus driver with a shotgun and laying waste to the children inside with a chainsaw , it is revealed that the bunny man has teamed up with another psychopath, kind of like Matt Cordell does in "Maniac Cop 2". As with the previous movie, the acting ability of the actors is next to non existent, but if you're looking for something to kill your time with and cant find anything better, give this a shot.
The Bunnyman spreads it's wings. A sequel done right, mostly. It removes what didn't worked in part 1, and double downs on what does. BUT it doesn't expand on the mythology like a sequel should. Still it's a blast from start to finish, and I will be the first in line in the theater to see where this twisted tale of the Bunnyman winds up. Bring on the Bunnyman !
So, when we last left off our Bunnymans crazy adventures, we learned that he was going around slashing victims offscreen with a chainsaw, for reasons that were very unclear. Now, he's back, in a blood soaked sequel. Why, you may be wondering? That's what I would like to know. Why do we need this needless sequel? Less dialogue then the original Bunnyman, and TONS more blood and gore. This time, Bunnyman has upped his game, and is not only using the chainsaw, but has graduated to using knives and various weapons as well...and has become a little more energetic with the kills ( I'm talking multiple multiple MULTIPLE stab wounds, gosh, she's dead, take her pulse, d***head!) I almost did not even bother with this one, when I saw him get on a school bus with innocent children, and started his chainsaw. Now, what have all these kids done to you, that you decide to off them off, you sick demented bunny? Unfortunately, this movie isn't that much of an upgrade from the 2011 Bunnyman...except for the kills. And, let's face it, you're watching a slasher movie for one reason, and that's to see some gruesome, bloody kills, right? Try to bypass the ones that have already been done ( for example, a girl is beaten repeatedly over rocks in her camping sleeping bag, didn't we see this in Friday The 13th Part 7 ? ) For a slasher flick, it delivers the goods, and for that, I have rewarded it with an extra star then what I have given the original Bunnyman. Way to go! Kudos to No One Cares Productions( Heh heh HA! That's an actual company?) It's not given 4 stars because it is a good movie, that, I can reassure you, it is NOT. However, for its genre, it is an all right slasher movie. I can't guarantee I will watch Bunnyman 3 , which is due out here in a few months...I think I'm done with cuddly cute costume killer movies. They're all over done!
