Memorable, crazy movie
Excellent but underrated film
Great movie! If you want to be entertained and have a few good laughs, see this movie. The music is also very good,
The movie really just wants to entertain people.
Stick around after the end of the movie; don't just stop it after you see the ending scene. I know, I know, hard to believe that still has to be said, but it does. Some friends of mine never knew that existed because they are the type to stop the movie right after the final scene, since they don't care about the credits. A good way to miss out on things. Things like this cute little extra. :) The way the songs blended into each other was great, and I loved the song choices - a little bit of modern, a little bit of old, so that it's likely to satisfy everyone.
Apparently the guys who made "Shrek" didn't think their movie was funny enough on its own (which it was) so they had to throw in some extra bonus junk. Unlike the outtakes shown over the end credits of the Pixar films "A Bug's Life," "Toy Story 2," and "Monsters, Inc.," this didn't seem half as inspired. The sing-along was cute... the first time through. Fortunately it's a bonus feature on the DVD; the VHS copies stuck it in right before the end credits. I guess that's why they made the fast forward button on the remote.
The 'Shrek in the Swamp Karaoke Dance Party' is a great extra to a great film. I loved 'Shrek' and to see all those funny characters again to do a little singing and dancing is fantastic. I laughed a lot during this little extra, especially with the first phrase of the donkey (I will not reveal what song he does). If you loved the film you will definitely love this as well.
On The DVD of Shrek Disc One I saw it it was so funny i love the part when donkey starts singing "I like big butts and i cannot lie" and when the gingerbread man says in "Dance to the music" I NEED A DRUMMER! That was the Funniest Surprise.
