I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.
There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
I'm really glad I didn't waste any money seeing this at the theaters. I happened to flip around the TV channels today and found this, and wondered what it was (my kids aren't young anymore, or maybe I would have known). Within two minutes I was thinking it was rather lame, the characters and the story line being completely flat, so I figured I would look up what information I could on it in IMDb.com. I was astounded to see the list of actors supplying the voices, as I had only been able to successfully identify Whoopi Goldberg and Judi Dench's voices prior. So I tried sitting through another fifteen minutes of it, thinking it would get better (I like animated movies, what can I say). And not only did it not get better, I think it got worse. Dreadful, dreadful movie. Strung together lines with no relation to each other, weak, pathetic character development, and completely un-funny. I can't imagine having taken kids to see it and been forced to sit through the whole thing. It would have been pure torture.
When i was younger I saw this movie and i thought I liked it but 7 years later i looked back in my life and realized it sucked. I looked it up and saw over 3,000 people agreed with me and i left it at that. Time passes and the movie was on HD Net and i decided to watch it and here is what I saw was wrong with it: 1. The movie makes so many references, the movie is full of references and the audience that this movie seems to be going after will definitely not know. The jokes that come with the references make you want to roll your eyes. 2.The animation is terrible the textures of the characters look exactingly so cheap. which is strange considering the amazing cast this movie has Ian McKellen, John Stewart, Jimmy Fallon, Whoopi Goldberg, Judi Dench, Chevy Chase, William H Macy, and Kevin Smith. you would think with such a cast the budget would have enough for a good animator, the entire time I was thinking how ugly it was and even the actual animation seemed lazy the snail(Brian) is almost always in the same position. 3. The story, jokes, and characters are confusing and terrible. When i say confusing I don't mean it's hard to follow, it just doesn't make since at all. I know i already complain about the jokes they are just so forced that they are terrible. The characters are incredibly 1-D you can put them any any other bad film and they could blend in, you could put them in the background and the movie would be better. Now the story and it's just weird I mean it doesn't make sense at all. There are many things to complain about (character designs are also strange and weird) and i cant talk about them all. The reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because i was fascinated in how bad it was i didn't immediately turn it off.
I saw the UK version, "The Magic Roundabout", before I dared starting this trek. It is certainly different and has "This used to be a TV series" written all over it, which is why they don't really give much back story to these characters. Despite this, the story is very easy to pick up, get into, and follow. Plus, the script is clever and well-written."Doogal" is a failed attempt at an American adaptation. Personally, I doubt that the writers had the slightest idea of what they were doing. The cultural references try to appeal to the parents while the potty humor tries to int entice the younger children. It's scripting is HEAVILY clichéd, and for the most part, has "WTF?" moments but it doesn't mean that it's that bad of a film. I wouldn't call it a kids movie. In fact, it might have done better if it was marketed towards teens and young adults. Mainly because many of these references seemed as though they would go over most kids' heads. The American dub plays more like a fan dub. In fact, it's hard to believe that it's not the work of someone off of YouTube. What I did like about "Doogal" was the narration. To the American audience who has never seen the series, it gives a nice introduction to the word and its characters. Sadly, it is overdone. Various narration spots throughout the movie take away from the story and is somewhat awkward. Another think I liked was moving a scene from the middle of the movie to the end. It gave a nice ending as opposed to the somewhat abrupt ending in "The Magic Roundabout". Actually, this is the only thing in the whole adaptation done right.Overall, "Doogal" could have been a good family movie given the following: 1. Had the writers kept more closely to the original script; 2. Had the writers been more conservative with their dispensing of pop culture references and fart jokes; 3. Had the narration been reserved only for the beginning and endIf you want a good kid's movie, watch "The Magic Roundabout". If you want a good laugh when you're half out of your mind, take "Doogal".
Doogal! You've got to love that title. It's amazing. The movie, well I didn't see much of it or pay attention to the plot, but it's Doogal! Doogal Doogal Doogal DOOGAL. I got captivated in his glory. It's like when you're watching the clouds fly by while sitting on your back wondering if that cloud is a Doogal or that other cloud is a Doogal. DOOGAL! To describe the movie a bit, it's about a dog named Doogal (Doogal!) who tries to save his town from an evil ring, sort of like Lord of the Rings but with a Doogal! The plot was pretty awful, but you can forgive it because it's Doogal! Make sure you yell Doogal whenever you're in public, it lightens everyones day. DOOGAL! 10 out of 10.
