Canada, present day. Yevhen is an international student from Ukraine, who receives a phone call from his father in the middle of the exam. His home country is being invaded by the neighbouring country, and his dad is stuck in the middle of it all. Their phone call that was meant to be a typical "check-in" between the son and father quickly turns into a very emotional challenge for both of them, as they slowly realize that this conversation might be their last.

I'll tell you why so serious
It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.
This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
