Diary of a Nudist
December. 27,1961Newspaper editor Arthur Sherwood is on a hunting trip when he accidentally stumbles upon a nudist camp in the woods. He is very much shocked by this and decides to send reporter Stacy Taylor to the camp so she can write an expose on the camp and have it shut down. However, much to her surprise, Stacy finds that she enjoys the nudist lifestyle and writes some very positive articles on her experiences, which doesn't sit well with Arthur. Arthur then decides to join the camp himself and write his own story.

Very Cool!!!
When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
"Diary of a Nudist" is an exploitation film that was made at a nudist colony. Several similar movies were made and proclaimed that they were educational in nature, but they really were just excuses to show some lovely naked bodies to audiences. And, it's pretty hot stuff for 1961, though like other nudie films of the era there are no crotch shots.Arthur assigns one of his reporters, Stacy, to go to a local nudist colony and write a spicy exposee in order to drum up readership and get the place closed. But, unexpectedly, Stacy finds she likes the folks there and the nudist lifestyle and joins the place. So, Arthur arrives in order to write his hit piece himself. Will he, too, succumb to the naturalist lifestyle? There really is little in the way of plot....just lots of naked folks. But compared to many other nudie flicks of the era, this one has a bit better production values and lovely bodies (many were, conversely, not so lovely in other films). A strange but watchable curio.
"Diary of a Nudist" tells the story of a female reporter who gets sent to a nudist camp by her boss to write an article against this new way of life but turns out to enjoy it so much she can't finish the job.The movie is rather short, running only around fifty minutes and is lacking pretty much any kind of story. You can really sum up the plot in a few sentences without leaving out much and that makes me wonder what this is supposed to be. It can't be produced for the sake of the story but it also avoids any kind of nudity and thus is probably not supposed to be a simple sex flick. At the same time it doesn't provide any solid information on nudism as a philosophy or a way of life and is not really suitable to serve as an introduction into the, at that time, rather new and possibly strange movement. The end comes with one of the laziest love stories I've ever seen in cinema making this whole film even stranger and more unnecessary. All in all this is a solidly produced movie telling nothing at all. It has no potential to be thrilling or very entertaining, but if you want to give it a try feel free to do so.
Quite honestly, this film is crap. It's laughably written, woodenly acted, badly filmed and dubbed, and contains only a wisp of a plot. It's also pretty boring. And yet, I couldn't look away! Must have been the wall-to-wall nudity, the whole raison d'etre of this turkey. It's quite refreshing to see so many beautiful naked women circa 1961. There's no silicone to be found, and these women look happy, healthy and well tanned. Watching them cavort for the length of this movie is a pleasure, but it's the only pleasure you'll get out of this lame duck. The nudity must have been racy in its day, but today it's strictly PG. There's plenty of breasts and buttocks, both male and female, but none of the nasty bits. In fact, all the nudists either cover their genitalia with some object - a newspaper, a towel - or, they deliberately turn their hips away from the camera as they walk by. At one point there's a volleyball game taking place: the team with their backs to the camera is completely nude, but the team facing it are all wearing swimsuit bottoms. It's pretty silly stuff, but the charm lies in seeing such an abundant display of T&A in such an old film. The plot, if anyone actually cares, concerns a female reporter going undercover at a nudist camp to gather material for an expose in some creepy guy's newspaper. She gets into it and becomes one of them, so the creepy guy decides to go undercover as well to write an expose of his own. He eventually gets converted to the cause, and never takes his trunks off the entire time. Oh, and somehow they announce that they love each other at the end which comes completely out of nowhere, it's ridiculous. This is an utterly cheesy yet slightly titillating flick.
This is one of those films that falls into the category of so bad its funny. The film has very little plot and most of the scenes in the film are taken up by showing the various female cast members showing off their best "assets". Also, if you look very closely, almost the entire dialog in the film is dubbed and very badly too. In fact, the same company that did much of the dubbing for films in the Godzilla series, Titra Sound, did the dubbing for this film (and this film was produced in the United States). Also, the ending of this film was one of the sappiest ever. If you want to have a good laugh, you should definitely watch this film, only don't expect lewd, expect nude.
