Samuel Peters (Edward Furlong), once an ordinary man, dabbles in the laws of voodoo to bring his wife back from the grave. He soon encounters the God of malevolence ‘Kalfu’ (Corey Feldman), and makes a pact with him to destroy the underworld and bring chaos to earth. In return, he will become ‘The Zombie King’ and walk the earth for eternity with his late wife. But, as the ever growing horde of zombies begins to completely wipe out a countryside town, the Government set-up a perimeter around the town and employ a shoot-on-sight policy. Trapped within the town, the locals, an unlikely bunch of misfits, must fight for their lives and unite in order to survive. Can our heroes unravel the clues in time and survive or will The Zombie King and his horde of zombies rise on the night of the dark moon?

Very Cool!!!
To me, this movie is perfection.
Better Late Then Never
Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
Instead of 'The Zombie King' it should be called 'A couple of bumbling idiots walking around saying stupid things while being filmed'. That's all it is. The so-called Zombie King isn't even in the movie except for very brief flashes. The whooole thing focuses on a group of people walking around trying to stay far enough away from the 'zombies' they see to not be grabbed. They actually 'kill' zombies by throwing empty milk bottles at them. Come on! And talk about horrible acting from that group. Terribly boring. A complete waste of film, the money and time to make the film, and the time it takes someone to watch it. One of, if not thee, worst movie(s) I have ever had the displeasure of witnessing. Corey Feldman's Kalfu was the only decent thing in the movie and he was only in it for a total of maybe, maybe 2 minutes. Do yourself a favor, stay far away from this disaster.
I guess this tries to be like Shaun of the Dead a little bit. Unfortunately it never really achieves those heights. Even more unfortunate is seeing Edward Furlong and what he has become (literally and metaphorically, in his career and in this movie). Once seen as something that could be a great actor, he can't even deliver (or maybe he doesn't bother to) in a movie like this. The character of munch might be the most fun one here, but overall there is a feeling of dread. There are subplots and some funny characters that work occasionally, but it doesn't add up. So while some jokes are funny others miss their mark completely, making this an odd experience. Not always in a good sense. You may try it, if you are into B-movies, but there is no guarantee you'll find it amusing
I watched this film with my brother, gotta say I thought this was one of the funniest films I've seen for a while along with Ted and TV program Modern Family. The Milk Man was amazing and funny, he had me belly laughing. The scene with the shed ha ha ha ha ha and then he smells his finger after grabbing the girls boobs, its so funny that's what a desperate man would do that doesn't get a bird. The church scene was awesome finding out how to kill a zombie, it was genius that they used a different method than the usual. Makes the milk man character even more comical using his milk bottles.I really liked the flash backs to the characters stories to show how they have got to where they are.I also really like the fact that the film tells you how the zombie outbreak started, they didn't even do this in Shaun of the Dead.I really liked all the character's the crazy older lady, the traffic warden that's a jobs worth, the postman who thinks he's action man, the mole that turns out to be a good guy, the two lads from the bakery 'I only popped out for a chocolate muffin'. The young girl, the girl who was a ball breaker and the girl who wont take any nonsense from anyone. Then there's the Samuel Peter's causing all this trouble to get his wife back but which one? Having a demon in a zombie film is cool too, I actually looked the name up after and Kalfu is a real Demon of the underworld, the writers really did their homework, the character was really well acted by Corey Feldman who I didn't realise was mouth from the Goonies, another awesome film.At the age of 18 I can see why our age group really like this film, I think the rating was a bit heavy from the age of 16 this would crack them up
The Zombie King is one of the worst films I have ever watched. There is no plot, no characterisation. Scenes seem to be presented in random order. There is a vast amount of clunky exposition to give the audience details of the scenes that were too expensive to shoot...which is everything that doesn't involve a handful of losers wandering about a field. Furlong appears for about 10 minutes..they play the scenes with his wife several times to make it seem like he's in the film longer. Failedman appears for 5 minutes with what appear to be cornflakes stuck on his face. The bald postman does a bad Clint Eastwood impression. The fat women thinks she is in the Benny Hill Show. The entire cast seem to be reading their lines off a card. Even among this staggering catalogue of incompetence Jon Campling as the alcoholic priest who knows all about voodoo and zombies stands out as a bad actor. He has no idea of how to convince as a drunk or a priest. Special mention must be made of the make-up for the zombies. There is none. The ending is the most shameless rip off of a George Romero film I've ever seen, made even worse by the obvious cheapness and lousy acting.
