This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place

How sad is this?
Good concept, poorly executed.
I am a great fan of films that don't take themselves too seriously and space truckers is definitely one of these. I could see Dennis Hopper actually revelling in his cheesyness mainly because he normally takes on very serious roles. The costumes were exaggerated (charles dance for instance) and the graphics, although quite gaudy were actually pretty good for its time. I liked the design of the killer robots with their face mounted death rays and karate chopping antics.A fun film with silly antics. Good stuff7 / 10
In the future logistics will be handled by truckers in spaceships - thus the title: Space Truckers. Automatically you see outer space diners, outer space food, and outer space villains who have a need to hijack everything that movies. So OK, the plot is somewhat predictable, but it is fun. This is not a great movie. This is not a great comedy. What it is, is a good 1 hr. 36 min. piece of fun watching. The plot is filled with enough good lines and action that it keeps moving. I recommend it to the less discerning people out there who just want a good easy fun scifi movie to watch. 8/10What I am saying is that it is palatable. You can watch it alone and feel that you're in a room with your friends (the characters in the movie) or watch it with your friends over pizza and you won't feel embarrassed since it is enjoyable... if you're a guy.-Zafoid
Cool flick, nuff said. Check it out. Gordon does as excellent job and you can tell it had a bigger budget than many Gordon films. The design for everything is top-notch. **** out of *****
This is one of those hybrid movies, grafting together a sci-fi space movie and a blue-collar trucker movie. Actually, it's not all that bad a concept but that's all it is -- a concept in search of a plot. The better-than-expected cast helps even though most of them appear to be slumming it.Stephen Dorff spends the central part of the movie stripped down and squeezed into a pair of tight black undershorts while he's bound in chains with his arms stretched above his head. These scenes should please those fraternity house guys who really, really enjoyed being Pledgemaster during Hell Week. And isn't it heartening that Mr. Dorff hasn't been talked into shaving his chest?
