Sorry, this movie sucks

Highly Overrated But Still Good

This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

10 out of 10...THATS RIGHT-- a big fat 10! First off just to get it out of the way I'm gonna say that some of the acting could've been better. Say, the fight scenes and so on... nothing major. Now thats just about the only thing i figured could've been better in this freaking horror masterpiece. What we are looking at here in the female version of American Psycho's Patrick Bateman on STEROIDS! She is literally walking around killing everything she can get her hands on with true class! We see subtlety, deception, we simply see America Olivo being as freaking awesome as she could possibly be! Thought bitch slap was great?... watch this!! Olivo plays this very interesting character that simply enjoys inflicting pain on whatever living thing that comes in her way--- or whatever living thing that she herself puts in her way for that matter... She tortures, murders, and laughs her way through all the way through. If you liked a type of super evil individual similar to the Great Pat Bateman, then you will without a doubt love this movie! A lot of other people have criticized this film for being a bad horror and so on etc... As always I encourage you...the reader to WATCH THIS FOR YOURSELF. I'm not saying this is like a super story or anything like that which most people are apparently obsessed with nowadays. No, this is simply just a Girl...The Girl that goes about her day to day activities and they just happen to be inflicting excruciating pain upon everybody... Now doesn't that just sound like a perfect horror/slasher movie to you???... Aside from the superb content which is super great for a horror and psychological thriller movie fan like myself, Olivo's great performance in this will without a doubt make you laugh due to all the... well... craziness that takes place. Not in a bad way though, in more in a : Oh my god this horror movie is freaking awesome because is has all we want to see type of way. Again, see the film for yourself. If you are a fan of horror-- the psychological kind, you'll love this!

If a psychological, slightly bloody gore, thriller is on your menu then you will find your self tuning your head a few times in this one; unless you have an excessive amount of sadism in your genes. Somewhat close to "SAW" level for a, and you couldn't tell, low budget film. A slightly satirical and comedic portrayal of the neighbor you don't want to have. What makes this movie a little different than countless others? The script was creative and novel in that the victims all were likable and the killer had a unique darkly comedic personality and her methods were a bit unusual. The special effects (props, prosthetics) were first rate and you could see that the care they took in creating them was so realistic that even the actors were cringing when viewing the editing scenes. Kudos to Vincent Gugstini for his efforts. My only criticism here would be that the blood wasn't quite the right viscosity and color. What really carries the film is the acting by America Olivo (as the Neighbor) who created a unique character - maniacal and darkly diabolical yet insanely charming and comical. Hard to believe she's a classically trained singer. This neighbor is on the loose and I'm sure she show up in a sequel - perhaps in your neighborhood.

Remember when America Olivio was hot, that was a time when she showed her titties full screen in the remake of Friday The 13th. She was a hottie then and I had the opportunity to met her. She was nice and signed my DVD with 'Come and play with me next time". Took my picture with her and I vanished just like she did. Okay, she was in Bitch Slap and in this flick but all those flicks were from 2009, and yes, she was in Transformers:Revenge Of The Fallen too. But after 2009 we never heard of her again. She will appear in Alexander Aja's Maniac in 2013 so that's one to look forward to. But back in 2009 she really needed it from her body. In Neighbor she's more casted for her skills but she failed sadly in some ways. Sometimes she was a bit exaggerated and some things didn't work out. She tried to be the psycho but wasn't convincing. Maybe it was because some effects were a bit cheap. After half an hour into the flick I thought, this is going to be boring but then we had some flashbacks and things happening that made it attractive again. The red stuff do flows a lot and some things are gory but it's how they recover from their wounds that made it laughable sometimes. The saw in that girl's mouth is worth watching but the opening with the tapping of that man's blood is rather laughable. You go over the top or you go serious with those things. It was okay on some parts but America sadly did pull this flick a bit down. There's one shower scene with her for the Kleenex buffs. A friend asked me if I wanted to see the worst movie ever made. I always want to see a really bad movie. He told me to check out this movie because it's really bad, so bad the guy who directed it put his name above the title insinuating it's good. Any movie that someone puts their name above the title is going to be a movie I want to see because either it's going to be really good or it's going to be so bad it's good.This was neither.It was awful. But not in a good way that you can laugh and be entertained but more in a "neighborhood kids make a video and make you watch it" kind of way. These aren't neighborhood kids but the neighborhood kids in my neighborhood could do a more professionally made movie than this.All this is is one torture scene after another. No story. No anything. Just torture. Even your fanboy gore fans would be bored here. It's just bad. Why someone thought two hours of people being tortured would be entertaining is beyond me. So why does the guy have his name in the title? He couldn't be proud of this. It's terrible. Maybe as a joke? If you want to see a torture porn movie, see Serbian film, Hostel or any number of other films that have come out the last couple years. If you want to just see a badly made torture video without an actual story, this would be what you should rent. I can't imagine a single person finding this entertaining and that goes for the people who made it. Even they had to be watching going "man, this sucks." I sure did.
