Yo, there's no way for me to review this film without saying, take your *insert ethnicity + "ass" here* to see this film,like now. You have to see it in order to know what you're really messing with.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

I'll be honest - I can see why this film has the IMDB rating and user review hatred that it does, this is a stinker! If Marvel's Thor is the pinnacle of what is right, this version of Thor is a somebody doing cosplay using only items found in a small charity shop as the props and costume. The casting is horrible - c'mon Kevin Nash - I loved you as a wrestler but you couldn't act in the ring and you shouldn't be acting in a film. Richard Grieco is Loki, which was upsetting - his was probably one of the better performances, however I've still seen human statues more animated. Cody Deal - what was the deal, Thor - c'mon really - you come across like a brainless halfwit!? Don't even get me started on Patricia Velasquez - what was that about!?Loki attacks Asgard because he's jealous that Thor could soon be ruler. Loki kills Odin and others. Odin sends Thor's hammer to Earth. Thor goes in search with Jarnsaxa to find it before Loki can. With what feels like no plot, no acting skills, no structure to the film, and no - well, just no hope!This really has to be the worst film I have seen this year and I pride myself on watching terrible films. I regret watching this.1 out of 10.

I watched this movie yesterday on SyFy and my boyfriend and I couldn't stop laughing. I would totally recommend this to people who feel miserable and unhappy because it is bound to make them embrace life again. To start with, the soldiers who were guarding the city were displayed by one person only who was trying his best to act properly. The fun started when they all entered earth and Thor started shooting the bad guy. It was as funny as watching Xena shoot people with a bazooka! I guess Thor learned how to use a gun while he was walking around his medieval world carrying a hammer made out of plastic! Anyway the next strike was when two rubber-figures imitating Thor and his "Mexican-alien-girlfriend" (as my bf called her) were being outspread on a wall looking as fake as possible! Also it was very amusing how the make up of the villain seem to fade away in some scenes and he got to look less Edward Cullen like. Last but not least I would like to express my astonishment as far as Patricia Velasquez is concerned. How come an actress who has taken part in a hit movie such as the mummy end up to play in a low-budget and complete parody, movie?P.S. And I thought Aurora was bad...

I have made no secret of disliking The Asylum/SyFy's output, there is the odd exception where some films of theirs are tolerable but neither come close to very good/masterpiece status, most are bad and quite a lot bottom of the barrel quality. Almighty Thor belongs in the bottom of the barrel category, and I can only think of about 3 of their films that are worse than this(Titanic II, Alien vs. Hunter and The Apocalypse).Absolutely nothing about Almighty Thor works. The production values are really quite poor. Haphazard editing, some really odd camera angles and some of the most crude CGI effects in any of The Asylum's films. The dialogue is laughable, although a lot of the film from The Asylum/SyFy have this problem the dialogue here really takes the biscuit. Not much effort is seemingly put into the story or characters here, the story is never secure in the pace-some scenes feel rushed(the ending) and others feel pedantic(the middle)- and is never interesting, while the characters are not developed or used well at all and nothing is done to make me engage with them. The acting all round is also appalling, Cody Deal is very uncharismatic and can't act his way out of a paper bag no matter how hard he tried.Overall, not only one of the worst so far of the year and also one of the worst to come from The Asylum. 0/10 Bethany Cox

okay, i'm 17min into the film and "BalDEER" (like... it's BalDUR?) and Odin lie dying, slain by the "demon" Loki.HOGWASH!{if i have to hear "my son" one more time, i swear i will rip out my ears - please, Odin, shut up and die NOW!} anyway, Loki is not "evil" - he is "chaotic". Loki is capable of evil - as in the real story of Baldur, where Loki deliberately caused the death of the most beloved of the gods by use of a sprig of holly - but he is also capable of great kindness. it just depends on his whim and mood at the moment.i saw none of that madcap whimsy in the Richard Grieco character. Richard Grieco seemed to be channeling the Dark Emperor by way of Voldemort. and his voice is annoying too - sounds like he's reading from a teleprompter. why did they give him "dragonball z" slash "naruto" hair? "your father spoke to you with his last breath... i can smell it".... uuuuh.... WHAT!?? someone got paid to write that crap!? where can i get one of these jobs?? the demon dogs - cool concept, totally lame execution. why do they look Egyptian? oh - hang on - some chick has just shown up to save Thor's butt....why is she Portuguese? oh, yeah - arms like pipe-cleaners, she's a real warrior i can tell *scoff* why is Thor shouting again? he's always shouting. jeez, guy, shut UP and grow a pair and a spine! and get that docile look off your face before i slap it off.the music sounds like an RPG - ah - special whiz-y whir-y sound effects, growling, sounds like a battle arena! whee! oh. another yelling match followed by "warrior skills for dummies". i find it hard to believe that Thor grew to ... i dunno, 25, looks like?... and doesn't know how to use a sword (clue, dude: hold the pointy end away from you and attempt to insert into enemy before they return the favour!).okay, i'm going to go use "Hot Fuzz" to scrub this movie off the inside of my skull.
