Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
I was very excited to finally watch Thirdspace, but it was something of a letdown. There was plenty of action, great graphics, a few fun, cheesy moments but it was missing that tell-tale OMG moment. The revelation about the Vorlans being responsible for the artifact was a good explanation, but it wasn't what we've come to except from Babylon 5.It was still a good movie, don't get me wrong. The graphics were amazing, and it was nice to go back to the good old days of Season 4. Can't tell you ow excited I was that Claudia Christan was in it. However, there was a slight goof with the summary (I got this from Netflix) it said Peter Jurasik (Londo Mollari) was in it, but Vir specifically points out that he wasn't on B5 at the time.It was nice to see some characters who didn't get as much screen time as the others. Vir had some great scenes, as did Lyta Alexander. All in all, I would recommend this movie to any B5 fan out there. :)
An excellent movie for all B5 fans, quite interesting plot-wise and in the spirit of 2nd Season. I watched it with pleasure, and it definitely adds another dimension to the B5 universe. I thought the opening was quite majestic, and there were some hilarious moments too, mixed with much tension, which is quite typical of Babylon 5 material. The movie can stand on its own, although a viewer who has followed Babylon 5 storyline right up to the Second and the Third Seasons will be able to appreciate it best. This is not so much due its content and story, but to realise certain implications that are discussed in the film, which may not stand out otherwise. A good addition to the genre.Enjoy!
I'm a long time fan of Babylon 5 but watching this for the second time I am struck by how much clumsy exposition there is in this movie. So much back story is filled in by characters telling each other things that are (within the Babylon 5 universe) such common knowledge that it is absurd for people to talk about them (Dr Trent's conversation with her companion Bill Morishi about the history of the Jumpgate falls into this category) or characters tell each other things they already know (or think they know) just so we the audience can be told as well. Sorry I don't buy it - at one point one of the characters actually says "...as you very well know". This is soap opera writing. Does the job but it's hardly elegant.I don't know the schedule JMS was working to on this one but it looks like it was written in a hurry. The writing is no way up to the usual standard for this show. The humour isn't there either. Having said that the SFX are good...
