Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
For what appears to be a micro-budget production this movie is a ton of fun. Murder, karate, nature, supernature, eye-gouging, tree-climbing, rednecks, college kids, folklore, sex, nerds, cheerleaders, goths, stoners, troubled pasts, terrifying presents and, best of all, laughs aplenty.

A mystical force hunts a ragtag group of college students. This film keeps its tongue firmly placed in cheek while the bodies pile up. A hell of a fun ride.
