The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

I paid to rent this online... what a waste of 4 bucks. As a fan of creature flicks, I had hoped for better, based on the reviews. Well, once again it was proven that a decent IMDb rating means nothing. There's a supposedly random mixture of characters thrown into one room to make for an "exciting" and "unpredictable" team dynamic. The only problem is, there's the bozo, there's the tough guy, there's the waitress who wants to leave the hick town, etc., etc. So contrived and nothing you haven't seen 100x before. The movie tries too hard to be campy, with those characters making the usual "funny" remarks and jokes. Yawn. Example: when they kill the baby monster, the parent monsters go and "hump" in the parking lot to make a new one (which is born 10 seconds later of course - basic biology fail) setting off a car alarm. OH, SO FUNNY! Excuse me while I fall down to laugh! Zzzzzzz. Then there's the action. What's the point of a horror movie, if you're going to shake the camera violently every time there's some action on the screen? Seriously, I couldn't tell if they were just filming a blender in a bowl of tomatoes, or if they were actually trying to do something on the set. Totally pointless and stupid. Shaky cam is just a crutch for BAD film makers to hide their ineptitude. There, I said it. Oh, and what genius movie maker decided that it was best to make a big scary monster, but then cover it with rags for 80% of the movie? It's not until the very, very end that the coverings come off. Until then, the "scary" monsters look like homeless bums wearing a tarp and a cowboy hat.Don't waste your time on this.

After their small-town bar is attacked, a group of patrons joins forces together to protect themselves and their establishment from a horde of ravenous, monstrous beings attempting to break in and feed on them. This was a ton of fun and really didn't have all that much really wrong with it. The main thing about this one is the inherent simplicity found throughout here which is quite apparent from the beginning here. There's a great sense of this one simply featuring a one-note premise and then finding tons of ways to continue the story along which is rather exciting in here which allows this to have a non-stop relentless pace filled with action. From the numerous scenes of them barricading themselves within the bar, the attacks downstairs in the basement and up on the second floor shows off plenty of thrilling action that just makes for quite an insane amount of action here as the battles to keep the creatures at bay show off their barely-holding defenses while taking a toll on their numbers. That also leads into the series' great feat of throwing off character deaths at the most unexpected times so it really throws off what to expect and when. This is augmented by the rampant gore and bloodshed throughout here which is rather fun as there's plenty of exciting and graphic kills here from the heads being smashed open, bodies being ripped in half at the waist and others being scratched up and dismembered which lets the blood flow quite freely here to match the action as well as giving the creatures a huge amount of positives. Focusing on their ruthless attitudes and savage behavior through the attacks and carnality they spread throughout here, yet all seemingly done with a purpose rather than to simply fill up the running time because they were introduced so early in the film, it makes them seem that much more fearsome and frightening which is a great plus here which is combined well with their appearance when we do get to see them as there's the deformed head, savage teeth and claws and generally inhuman look that's quite endearing. It's just the fact that we really can't seem them all too much here as the film never really gives them a chance the way it's edited as the scatter-shot, hyper-speed cutting really makes it almost impossible to tell what's going on, especially during the action scenes as those are the scenes that you want to watch and yet this one doesn't really offer that. Otherwise, the only other part that's kind of annoying is the small introductions for each character about their survival rate which gets old very quickly and feels like a cheap gimmick that serves this no real purpose. These are about the only things here that really hold this down, and that's not all that big of a deal.Rated R: Extreme Graphic Violence, Extreme Graphic Language, sexual content and children-in-jeopardy.

If you liked Dusk Till Dawn and/or Demon Knight, this is movie is worth the watch. The gore is plentiful, the blood is abundant and the bits of dark humor are well placed. The greatest part of the movie is that it never takes itself too seriously. This movie floated under the radar but deserves the attention. If you are a horror movie buff, or looking for something interesting to check out, this is the one to watch. It is good to note that this film spawned two sequels, so someone out there wanted to see more. This movie has that cult vibe, full of wicked one liners, and gruesomely creative scenes that will leave you obligated to share around the water cooler at work.Put on the popcorn, sit back and enjoy this bloody good romp.

You know that plan the cornered innocents always seem to come up with, after an hour of either relentless bickering or being picked off in horror movies? You know there's still about twenty minutes left, but you always find that THIS PLAN WILL WORK, no matter what, right?I do. I fall for it every…single…time. I think that's the fun of it. And, by the time that inevitable scene appears, I'm so overwhelmed with countless failures, blood, gore, craziness, anarchy, treachery and unreal conditions, that I guess I WANT more than anything that one in a million chance will work. Because, things have to even out, right? The good guys have to win in the end and we have to get back to normal! No spoilers, but Feast's premise is like countless other TRAPPED SURVIVORS movies.** - A group of assorted stereotypes find themselves hunted, disbelieving, alone, confused, argumentative, disconnected from any communication, outgunned and cornered in some kind of shelter, i.e. From Dusk Till Dawn or Night of the Living Dead. But, that's just the premise. While the movie centers around a desert middle-of-nowhere saloon and vulture creatures circle and attempt to get in for a, ah hem, feast, there's plenty of originality and fun to be had inside. (Fun, if you're into extreme gore, pain, suffering and never knowing who gets picked off next.)And speaking of freshness, one of the brightest spots of the creativity in Feast, was the comic-book introductions of the characters as they appeared on screen with spoilers of their fate. Or were they spoilers?I would have never even remembered this 2005 (limited in 2006 in the USA) horror "comedy" existed if not for co-hosting a podcast with a friend that recommended this injunction with the same director's (John Gulager) Piranha 3DD we were discussing. So, kudos to him since I found this movie fairly enjoyable and probably one of the most grossest and vicious TRAPPED SURVIVORS films. There's not much more to this movie except the aforementioned location and a group of diverse individuals attempting to survive when the universe's most brutal and sharp creatures attempt to get in. The entertainment is how they cope or their lack of managing unity.Early in the film, one of the baddies gets in and goes berserk beyond most horror films I've seen, it sets the scene for how much carnage and peril these victims are in store for. And for some of their sakes, being dead from an attack, or feeding, is far better than surviving.Feast is for die-hard TRAPPED SURVIVORS and horror fans. I honestly can't see this movie branching outside that group, but it's still one helluva ride.
