How sad is this?

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

If you enjoy scenes that come into focus and out of focus as the shaky camera also juggles, this is a great movie. If you think shaky cameras and blurry movies suck, then we are in agreement. This movie is so awful that I could not see much of it. The characters talk to the camera, because one of them is filming everyone constantly. So in addition to the shaky blurry scenes, we get annoying characters talking to the camera to let the audience know what they are thinking. I wanted to throw up on the television after a few minutes of this awful movie.

How stupid is this film? The plot centers on the Vatican School of Exorcism where all classes are apparently held in English. Every single moment of this film that comes close to working is just stolen from "The Exorcist". This movie ends with a title card that implies that nobody knows what REALLY happened ... but we just saw what happened ... it's a found footage film guys ... oh, whatever. Idiots.

The film features a great car cash, as viewed from inside the car. There's some impressive bodily contortions during those possessed moments. Acting is OK, although I found the lead female 'the daughter' to be below par. The film is supposed to look like a documentary filmed by non professional camera personnel, as thus there are far too many moments when the person holding the camera can't hold a camera still for hit. It's way over done. Never once did I feel like I was watching an actual documentary. At that level, the film fails. Also, it's not scary, which is probably why it's Cert 15. The image of the Nun on the DVD cover appears for all of a few seconds during the film?

This movie had the full potential to be a movie GREATER than those like The Exorcist, or The Exorcism of Emily Rose as well!HOWEVER, the ending of this movie (SPOILER) was the worst ending of any movie I have ever seen! Even 5 more minutes of movie after the wreck would have been nice! Are they all dead? Did someone live through the wreck? Who did the demon transfer to after the wreck if they all died? A first responder, a cop? The list of questions could go on forever, and its been almost 3 years since the movie was made, so apparently there isn't going to be a sequel or they would have made it already! A tragic ending of a movie that could have been one of the greats!!
