Admirable film.
Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Arjun reddy is an unorthodox film which does everything the right way. The lead character himself is enough to take you through the entire movie even if there was no plot or anything at all. pure brilliance is-are the only two words that can use critic this movie in the most simple and modest way. A beautiful story, a different kinf of love story laced with fresh and insanely ralistic and awsome characters and the dialogues and screenplay is a level higher than any other south movie till date. A lot to learn and cherish from this movie. Just watch it. Now!!!
It was a brilliant performance delivered by Vijay and his friend Shiva sinma fame . outstanding background score is an added advantage. must watch movie. 3 hours will pass like that
The best there was, the best there is and probably the best there ever will be. Arjun Reddy is a 5/5 film and rating all the remaining films in the industry below 2.5/5 will do it justice. Vijay Sai Deverakonda delivers the best performance ever seen by a male lead in 75 years of our cinema. Thanks a ton for giving us this film Sandeep!
In the first act, we see Arjun Reddy as a spoiled rich and brilliant brute who does whatever he wants without any consequences. I hated the protagonist at that point. But then it started making more sense, he got a lot of negative aspects, he is nowhere near perfect even with all of his acts of righteousness, machoism and philosophy but he is honest in a society that tells you to lie at every turn of life. The misogyny and objectification through context (usual Telugu films directly do that) exist but it is also part of the world we live in and it is necessarily a part of him that makes the character more realistic that goes along perfectly with his toxic masculinity. Arjun Reddy succeeds where Kaatru Veliyidai was a failure in that sense. Vijay Devarakonda brilliantly portrays Arjun Reddy going through all those transitions. Even with all the familiar tropes at every point in the plot, the film keeps you engaged and gives some fresh perspective which may not be easily relatable but part of the world we live in.
