A dead man who takes the form of a toy penguin after his death wanders an old home with a similar toy bunny. As he meets to and speaks with the souls of the home, the memories of his prior life begin to fade away. Before being resigned to a lifeless and inanimate eternity, the man attempts to reunite with his lost love who takes the form of a mystical Unicorn-Lion.

If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
