The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

The Succulent Succubus stars AV actress Asami Sugiura (The Machine Girl, Gun Woman) as Ms. Devil Girl Succubus, Hell's VP of marketing, who tries to convince unlucky in love, terminally ill cutie Momo (Japanese porn-star Shô Nishino) to sell her soul in exchange for her deepest desires. Unable to grant Momo a longer life ("that's God's department"), and unwilling to fulfil her request for happiness (the mere mention of the 'H' word makes her itch), Ms. Devil Girl Succubus finds her offer rejected, but isn't one to give up so easily…A cheap (check out the crappy titles and sets!) and cheerful Pink film, The Succulent Succubus is all about the nookie, meaning that its Faust/Bedazzled inspired plot is never developed much beyond the basics. As such, the production is an unexceptional example of the genre, being little more than a series of soft-core couplings as Nishini and Asami satisfy some extremely happy men, and eventually each other, after which Momo is finally convinced to sell her soul in exchange for fame as an AV idol. In a final feel-good twist, the succubus grants Momo a second chance at a fuller life after she selflessly donates all her money to charitable causes, the girl clearly not Hell material.
