It always gives me great pleasure to host our summer evening concerts on the beautiful Vrijthof square in my home town of Maastricht. But this time we had something extra to celebrate: a silver jubilee! The Johann Strauss Orchestra and I have been appearing on stage together for 25 years this year. This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
