On Thanksgiving, according to Garfield, people celebrate food by eating as much of it as possible. It's a tradition. But that tradition is history following a checkup from veterinarian Liz Wilson, a sassy lady who says Garfield must go on a diet.

Then he attends a class for the personality impaired where he meets a young woman and all seems to be great for Jon, but Garfield starts to feel neglected and left out.
