Emperor Yu dominated the world and divided it into nine continents, after which he soon passed away. Since then, the cultivation levels of martial artists in the world have been classified into three realms: "Post-Heaven, Pre-Heaven, and Illusory Realm." A thousand years later, chaos erupted in the nine continents. The nine major sects openly and secretly contested for the treasures left by Emperor Yu, seeking to dominate the world. Teng Qingshan, blessed with exceptional talent, reached the Pre-Heaven realm at a young age. However, after accidentally obtaining the key, the Nine Cauldrons Pendant, which opens the treasure, he is hunted by Qinghu Island, leading to the tragic extermination of his own sect. Amidst the storms within the martial world, the nine sects gather to seek revenge, protect the treasure, and Teng Qingshan faces numerous challenges and life-and-death battles against the forces of evil.

Don't listen to the Hype. It's awful
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
