It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

A delightful charming film that has to be welcome in a Hindi Film Industry.Few films show us answers and reasons, few films challenge our observation and leave questions for us, so that we find answers. This films challenged me, I was surprised to see Paresh Rawal play 3 different characters and all 3 betray our super hero thief Lucky(Abhay Deol). So this commonality of characterisation was what Dibakar Banerjee wanted to show to us. Also, lot many questions are shown as to how silly people are, actually are they so silly? May be yes, if you give in you will enjoy this throughly and even if you do not then you are left to explore the logic and in each character seems to be adamant about what it wants to achieve. The most plus point of this film is Abhay Deol who plays Lucky and is fluent at what he does. He does not seem to be acting anywhere, just reacting to what has happened and just doing what that character would expectedly be doing. Actually a weird character but after a while we just get used to his pranks and his ways of stealing. Nicely written by Dibakar Banerjee in bringing out the milieu and flavor of a Delhi that is all in its characters, the cinematography should also be commended. Above and all, I would go with the costume design that are actually gaudy flashy and yet seem to be speaking a language of the character. I would deride, editing though and editing could have been lot better. Lot many scenes just to establish a character even after that character has made an impact...I am talking about Gogi (Paresh Rawal -2) and too many photographs in the last part of the film. I would have enjoyed it more had we known how Lucky plots each theft and what goes on in his mind.I would go with a 3/5 for a movie that seems to be simple yet is bring alive by its characters that are multi layered and have for sure made an impact.

May be I am not really a person for dark comedy. I felt it as only a so-so movie. Even when I was watching in DVD, I took break 3 times in between. I felt it was quite boring at times. But still there are nice and funny scenes coming in between. So it could be watched once. Neetu Chandra acted horrible. Abhay Deol was decent acting as always. Didn't really find the need of Paresh Rawal representing three characters. Songs were also just so-so.I wouldn't call it the best movie and all. But if you have a lot of time left, may be you can give it a try.

I loved OLLO. Its a relief in the times of Karan Johars around. Its very Hollywood-ish, and that again is not the reason I love it.For people who have followed works of Martin Scorsese, they may find an impact of him on the director of OLLO. Take pictures shown in between scenes for example. Or take the un-usual-for-bollywood dialogue style of not saying the obvious thing. (Hope you get my point). You'll find these all similar to Scorsese's style, and for a bigger proof, you may like to know that the scene in which the Boss (Paresh Rawal) tries to break Abhay's balls a little bit when he doesn't greet him properly, is straight-away lifted from a very similar scene in Goodfellas (1990).Frankly speaking, I don't give a damn. OLLO is something that represents new-age bollywood, so what if the makers are inspired by others. Well, they are making a good-film anyway.

Don't get me wrong here but something is missing in the movie. OK - the con games seems to be a reality check on Bunty and Babli. The narrative of the movie via the "Crime Watch" show was innovative. The teenage romance was realistically done. The into the daily life of New Delhi is commendable. Music is different indeed. The characters are true-to-life. But at the end of it, why does one feel let-down?In all honesty, one expects Dipankar to go one-notch from where he left off in his previous outing.Abhay Deol is getting finer with each passing movie. And his conviction to stick to the "new-age" cinema is indeed commendable.Neetu Chandra was as good, though a very short role. And what was the purpose behind the three roles donned by Paresh Rawal?Archana Puran Singh was expected to be loud and she was indeed.
