Trailer Synopsis Cast

(Long Synopsis) "This action-packed, fantasy-fueled family adventure – inspired by the revered literary Christian classic, The Pilgrim’s Progress – overflows with outrageous characters, special effects … and a moral message. In The Wylds, young Chris (Solomon Ray) is a runaway living with a group of other misfit kids in a junkyard, all under the watchful eye of a Dickens-esque character who forces them to steal to survive. When Chris is caught pilfering at a church, the pastor protects him from the police, then challenges him to find his estranged father. Chris bravely chooses to leave his family of thieves and ventures into the wilderness in search of a better life. Traveling through a post-apocalyptic future – his only hope lies in reaching a heavenly paradise that will surpass his wildest dreams – he outwits bandits, escapes swamp monsters, battles evil robots and learns valuable life lessons about choosing the right path."

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

After spending the time that can never be recovered by watching this film, I can only hope that the MPAA will come up with a rating that will warn us. Awful is really too kind a category. Is there a sub-zero? I purchased the film because of the Christian theme with the intention of giving it to a relative who teaches a youth class at church. The premise that this movie would hold the attention of teens is probably correct in that it would give them a good laugh. There did seem to be a theme that followed "Pilgrim's Progress" and there were some interesting scenes, but the attempts at special effects and scenery so distracted you that the film became totally useless. I will not be donating this film to the church library!

The Adventures of Chris Fable was purchased as a cheap family film and we didn't expect a lot for the price that we paid. Managed to watch a few minutes of the film but when the narrator said "Chris walking solitary by himself..." we finally accepted that we really had made a terrible mistake. The DVD was switched off and now serves as a useful coaster. The camera work is awful, the acting is awful, the script is awful, the effects are awful, well...you get the idea!Don't buy this even if it's on sale for 10p - you will still be wasting your money (unless you need a coaster.)

Brought in Tesco for £2 thought it looked good.Got home watched & basically wasted about 2 hours of my life. It's thinly disguised religious junk, for those of you who are not religious give this film a miss.Basically the plot has a lot to do with things in the bible, over coming trouble (if you repent the heavenly father will accept you with open arms).Don't waste your money or you time.Would have given it half a star but the ratings don't go that low. The tag lines are not true. It's not an adventure film at all. On the case it says it's like the chronicles of Narnia whoever wrote that did so only to make people buy this drek.

I have never seen a more disappointing movie, i bought it from tesco thinking it would be a good children's fantasy adventure but when I started to watch it I realised it was the complete opposite. From the awful actors to the tacky costumes. I haven't got a clue what time zone it is meant to be because most of the adults have old fashion clothing like top hats but then there is robots and modern buildings. Scince when do cowboys happen to have two swords. I know £3 seems cheap but for this movie i felt very ripped of, my family and thought it was made by a drama club with a normal camera. My brother who is 7, my sister who is 10, me 14 and my mum and dad found it funny that it was so rubbish and tacky.
