Cast
“Symbols” is a short animation for introducing the LIAF Abstract Showcase program. It's about text, symbols, language, and communication, trying to explore the concept of abstract through the conversion between natural language and constructed language in a more relaxed and simple way. When text symbols are isolated from their linguistic contexts, how could they be understood and communicated in a chaotic contemporary context?

A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
