The full-contact, adrenaline-fueled sport of roller derby has a history of LGBTQ inclusion spanning decades. This documentary follows two transgender roller derby players through the 2023 competitive season, showcasing their resilience against anti-trans sentiment in the US and capturing the drama and fun of the sport they love as they form bonds with their teams and navigate their place in the sport as a whole, through wins and losses, from fundraisers to afterparties and the joys and struggles of grassroots athletics.

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
