60-year-old Avinoam and his 25-year-old son Barak are two farmers from a kibbutz in southern Israel located near the fence that separates Gaza from Israel. When another round of combat approaches, Avinoam perseveres with his agricultural work, but Barak, suffering from military post-trauma, finds it difficult to close his eyes and carry on as usual. The director, Yahav Winner, was murdered in his home in Kibbutz Kfar Gaza on the morning of Saturday, October 7, 2023, in a massacre by Hamas terrorists, who broke the window of the family home. Winner blocked the window, and fought the terrorists in order to let his wife and one-month-old daughter escape.

How sad is this?
Excellent but underrated film
The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
