Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

Only one word describes this and that word is garbage. I don't have a lot to save since others here have already said it so this will be brief. If people like this are not actors at all they should not act in something that clearly they have no talent for. One question I have is why film brains character was changed at all. I mean in his reviews he is always serious and barley makes any jokes yet here he is a spa-zing annoying kid here. If someone who is not an insane tgwtg can explain please let me know. in truth this is not worth watching especially on DVD since youtube already has it all for free. Thank you for your time and hopefully you know a better movie to watch on a Friday night.

I am a fan of the Nostalgia Critic as well as a few other reviewers - mainly the Cinema Snob. When I found out that the guy made famous for ranting about crap movies has made movies I naturally was intrigued. To Boldly Flee was brilliant, for a movie that premiered online it was amazing. Suburban Knights was just dumb fun despite some problems and they still kept me laughing. I didn't really like this one.The plot is that The Nostalgia Critic invades a micro-nation with his follow internet reviewers. As time goes on he becomes mad with power and people then fight him for control over the micro-nation. That's it, that's all this movie is.First of all, as dumb as something like Suburban Knights was, at least with that you had a motivation for these characters along with characters who mainly had a personality. Here, Nothing motivates the critic to do something so outrageous in the first place. Don't get me started on the fact that over half of these characters really do have absolutely no point to the story except filling positions of government for one newsreel - That's it.Not to mention this movie is almost laugh-less. I said ALMOST laugh-less, there were a few laughs in this film but they were nothing more than chuckles. I chuckled at the Critics gathering in a circle and chanting "We believe in Santa Christ" after the Critic shoots him among other moments. Not to mention the shaky-camera in the invasion scene is the worst. That along with the constant screaming was more of a build up to "Tell me this isn't what you're really doing?" as opposed to the scenes starting the action in other ones where that was effective build-up. It only makes me see Doug Walker as being hypocritical when you look at his votes for most annoying clichés.So would I recommend this movie? Only to the most loyal fans of Doug Walker. I mean he has created a very likable TV show if you like his sort of humour and also a movie buff, but here EVERY complaint you'll see him raise in reviews for other movies in this one. Forced unfunny celebrity cameos and unexplained story aspects galore.

This isn't a major movie production. This was a special episode on That Guy With The Glasses featuring most of the members of the website. It doesn't even belong on IMDb, so not sure why it's here.If you don't understand the inside jokes, you won't like it. But I laughed out loud almost continuously. Some of the acting is horrendous, but, again, it's a parody, and most of the time it's on purpose. That said, Brad Jones steals the show with this movie. I could see him starring in an actual bigger budget movie. He is made of rule and epicness.I give this movie a 9, because I rate comedies on how much they make me laugh, and this one gets a 9. I 'got' almost every joke, having watched pretty much everything on the website, and it was almost always well done.Win!

Kickassia stars many contributors from the TGWTG website and popular online personalities. Fans or people familiar with these personalities will understand the in jokes and gags used in the film. To people who have never seen any online reviews or who are not familiar with the personalities the film will seem confusing and probably unfunny. The fans of the TGWTG crew will like this film as it delivers well in terms of fan service. I, myself am an avid watcher of web shows and I particularly like TGWTG, I am pleased to say that I enjoyed this film. I feel that a lot of effort was put into this production and it shows the fans that the contributors of the website do care and are appreciative of the support the fans have shown. I understand that it must have been very difficult to gather the contributors and meet up for a certain date ,place and time to film especially because many of them come from different countries (for e.g. Benzaie - France , Film Brain - Britain , Phelous - Canada etc ). A lot of the gags are silly but entertaining and there are references to past reviews and videos which is a nice little nod to the fans. It seems that most of the reviews on here for Kickassia seem to be critiquing Kickassia but treating it as a stand alone film when really it should be seen as an extended fan service type of video more than anything. It's target audience (fans) will love it but others who are unfamiliar with the aforementioned videos and reviews may not enjoy it. Also I think it is ridiculous that some reviewers on here are criticising the production values and quality of cameras etc, its a FREE online film, it is not a Hollywood blockbuster! Anyway I found it funny and entertaining and would certainly watch Kickassia again.
