Just perfect...
A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
This film had basically no budget, was made in the slums of uganda by people who genuinely feared for their lives will making it, and was directed by a man who never in his wildest dreams expected that it would be seen by anyone outside of his village. Despite this, it's probably one of the best films I've ever seen. On a technical front it has clear issues that anyone can see, but it has so much heart and passion behind it that the flaws become insignificant. The fact is that the people of Wakaliwood made this movie purely to entertain, and throw in so much hilarity and "supa action" that it is an absolute joy to witness. They tried so hard to make something fun and enjoyable, and I urge anyone who aspires to make films themselves to use this movie as motivation. If they can do it solely through effort and passion with no money, no studio, and barely any technical support, then why can't you give it a go? Would reccommend this film to everyone and anyone. Watch it!
I have no idea why people are reviewing this film as well as they are. Maybe it has something to do with it coming from a 3rd world mudhole with virtually no budget? Maybe it's the same idiots who seem to think 'The Room' is "so bad it's good"? But me, personally, I found nothing enjoyable about this film. The writing for the story is impossible to follow, the scenes makes no sense. It literally just feels like a series of short clips, none of which have anything in common, where just kind of edited together. The acting is terrible and you can tell that every single one of the actors is locally sourced. You'll see the same people over and over again, even if they were killed. Sometimes you'll even see cases of people killing themselves.Special effects? There is nothing "special" about the effects. It looks like they were drawn on with MS Paint. The virtual joker is terrible. It's a commentary track that never stops and cannot be disabled. Often times it NEVER makes any sense. It is't funny, it isn't clever, it's annoying and frustrating.I can already hear the haters making excuses for the film. And I hear you, I get it. There's a lot about this film that should be admired. The writer and director sold everything they had just to afford the camera they used to shoot the film. But that doesn't excuse the sloppy, terrible writing and completely unhinged plot. I really feel films like this are really just fodder for pretentious reviewers to beat themselves off to. 'I Hate Everything', a youtube reviewer who is well known for being a jerk online called this movie "art". There is nothing artistic about this film, there is nothing enjoyable about this film, I have no idea how anyone can justify recommending this film to anyone.
This short film reminded me of the effects of the short film, Game Over (2011), compared to Birdemic. However, this film is way better than Birdemic because of a decent performance and the action stunt fights (pardon my grammar), even the commentary of V.J. Emmie (hope I got the spelling of the name right) is hilariously entertaining.I want to thank my friend, Kyle Haller, for introducing me to this film. This is the greatest movie of all time, or if not, one of the greatest independent films of all time, even...again...it's better than Birdemic because it's very entertaining in that way.
Me and my classmates have found out that this movie was here, and since we watched it, it was very funny that we laughed hard after watching it. When I looked at the reviews, I knew that each and every one enjoyed it He's just creating a fake account. Bad screenplay? No. Worst movie ever? No. It's an adrenaline rush plus it's a worldwide acclaim! About the director, he has given his time, passion, resources, and the like to make wonderful movies with such effort such as Bad Black, Attack on Nyege Nyege, Operation Kakongoliro (Ugandan Expendables) and every masterpiece that he makes like B14, the African Terminator knockoff, and the rest.Such a masterpiece and a great dream Nabwana has achieved! 1 million/10. Would watch again! Must see! What I would like to say is that the funniest of all was VJ Emmie. Do not be swayed by negative criticism. To the fake one star idiot account, please learn to accept things that aren't the way that you would always expect. (I'm doing this so that I can trigger that hater) It's not that hard to believe this movie was made. It's good and affordable for a great family or a group of friends to watch
