On June 3rd GCW: Tournament of Survival 8 is live and exclusively on FITE+ straight from The ShowBoat in Atlantic City, NJ. The 12 entrants in the ToS are: El Desperado, Rina Yamashita, Tomoya Hirata, Toru Sugiura, Joey Janela, Sawyer Wreck, Kasey Kirk, JWM, Ciclope, Matt Tremont, Miedo Extremo and Green Phantom. They are ready for their death matches and are determined to survive and win the Tournament! This year the winner in the Tournament of Survival will have opportunity for a GCW World Championship shot on the following night in the Cage of Survival 2 where will face off Masha Slamovich. As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
