Sorry, this movie sucks
best movie i've ever seen.
I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
I never was his biggest fan, but my husband liked him in the past so we watched this show. It was hard to get through to the end, not just for me, but for him too. It was not funny, and it was downright creepy how he basically called himself a pedophile for marrying a gold digging woman far younger than himself. There were sure a lot of "jokes" about how old he will be when his youngest kids grow up. Save yourself the time and just skip this so-called comedy show.
I have been a Carlin fan for years and his Schtick was always bad language and disturbing points of opinion until he left us back in 08 so bad lingo doesn't offend me. Jeff's routine started out well enough but then it fell flat with the political jargon then went downhill further with him debasing himself and his marriages and the third grade style of jokes and one liners and that abysmal Irish baby puppet was disgusting. If I wanted to watch racially demeaning entertainment I would have put on the news. Dunham used to be the cornerstone of fun humor filled Puppeteering and we all would tune in to see him at his best. In all honesty I think this is him at his worst. Hopefully he gets the act back on track or else many fans will not be showing up for the live venues.
There's no denying that Jeff Dunham is not afraid of self deprecating humor. This comedy special is particularly rife with him taking shots at himself via his array of characters. This time out he's got Walter, Bubba J, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Peanut, and a new creation for the Dublin, Ireland crowd - Seamus, the Irish Baby. Dunham prefaced his remarks about Seamus by stating that he and his wife were in Ireland in part to adopt a baby there, but if that happened, one doesn't come away knowing that or if it was part of his schtick for the evening. I like Dunham generally but I thought there was a bit too much vulgarity in this show, especially when the baby character comes out with the 'F' word every so often. Not particularly becoming of the character, who also has an affinity for alcohol, being Irish don't you know. The summary quote above was delivered during Dunham's conversation with Achmed, but as I think about it now, I can't remember who said it. Well, not really, it had to be Dunham either way.
This show is great. He is just hilarious. I love how he uses references from everywhere. He also incorporates where he is at and makes it work so well. All his characters are original and so is his content. I love how he incorporates things from his life as well. You can tell he has so much fun. Overall 10/10 for this show. Did you know he is #1 in Saudi Arabia? Fluffy (Gabriel Iglesias) mentioned that in one of the specials he did. I can totally see why.
