The story-telling is good with flashbacks.The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.

Remember that this is a truly independent film, made by people who just wanted to make a film for the sake of it. It has a different feel from other movies that you have seen and if you expect the same Starbuck coffee, but for free, then you will indeed be disappointed. However if you are in the mood, you can watch it and try to get into the feel of it.Ten people are stuck on a temporary island, isolated from the world by the rising tide. They first enjoy themselves and then, one by one, they start disappearing. The slow building of the characters in the group and the pace of the film might let some people down, but the tension is constantly rising. The ending has a problem, for sure, though. It would have been a lot creepier if they didn't introduce the completely useless final explanation.Bottom line: certainly a good attempt, without being a masterpiece, but certainly not deserving the one star treatment. Slow pace. You either get into it or you don't. There are some people that want horror in 5 minute YouTube bits. They are called trailers and if really this is what you are looking for, stop watching full length movies altogether.

I thought the trailer looked interesting. I was wrong. I really should have listened to the reviewer on here and then I would have not wasted my time.This was over an hour of my life I'll never get back. I even skimmed through a lot of it because there was no excitement. I kept waiting for it to become interesting. It sadly never did.What an absolute boring film. The only thing good about the movie is the scenery. If you're expecting a good horror film or even one moment that is scary- don't bother with this film. I hear a part two is being made.... why?!

This was the worst plot & storyline that I've seen in a long time. The kids involved were uninteresting, there is MASSIVE holes in the plot involving the tide & the evil presence that is responsible for the killing.The script seemed like something written down quickly in five minutes with absolutely no thought on tying everything together logically. Logic is exactly what sunk this ship. Watching this has sucked the life out of me, inspiring only thoughts of suicide. It's that pathetic, I'm sorry I can't write more cause watching this film has left me feeling ill.I try not write reviews for bad films but this is the third one in a row, I need to stop shopping in the C movie isle maybe. I made it to the end so it gets a 2/10 nothing left to say....;*;;*;
