This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

if only rico yan didn't die young. this picture showed judy ann in all her "baby fats" splendor but looking like a beautiful ingenue. as she grows older she becomes lovelier than ever. this is a heart-gripping tale of two sweethearts who were separated by circumstances but managed to end up together in the end, as in most pinoy feel-good movies.there are so many what could have been in this screen couple's roads but in the end fate intervened with rico's shocking death and the planned reunion in the film "isusumbong kita sa tatay ko," is put back in the drawing boards with a different love interest for judy ann.
