Terminally dorky oddball Harold Kunkle (the singular Toby Radloff in stellar spazzoid form) finds a soul mate in the form of sweet nerdette Thelma (a winningly gawky portrayal by Heidi Lohr). This daffy duo of dweebs join forces to fight back against those cruel folks who mercilessly persecute them for being different. Writers/directors Mark Steven Bosko and Wayne Alan Harold bring a much darker and more mean-spirited tone to this follow-up to the enjoyable original: The violence committed by the geeky leads manages to be quite gruesome and nasty, with an inspired parody of the famous "Psycho" shower scene and an especially brutal castration rating as the definite harsh highlights. Once again, Radloff's distinctly idiosyncratic presence keeps the picture afloat. Moreover, the romance between our two socially maladjusted misfits possesses a certain innocent off-kilter charm while their savage killing spree is very startling and ferocious, with Thelma's grotesque white clown make-up making for a genuinely creepy sight to behold. The rough cinematography by Alan Stevens boasts a few nifty stylistic flourishes. Sean Carlin's funky bumping score does the right-on groovy trick. Good twisted fun.

Thank God I got the Killer Nerd/Bride Of Killer Nerd DVD, I really go it to see the sequel. The sequel is better quality, but that takes away all the fun. The original is worse and has bad special effects and in this one it was like they knew what they were doing. It is kind of a boring film, but still fun. Any thing is fun with Harold Kunkle, still played by the great Toby Radloff. His girlfriend Thelma Krumple is played by Heidi Lohr and does a good job, she also played Harold's "girlfriend" in part 1. This movie has some decent gore, a Pscho like shower scene, and more. Make sure you take this one home today along with the original!

Bride of the Killer Nerd (1992) is a good movie. I was very surprised by how well it was directed and acted. The story follows Harold Kunkle who's literally haunted by ghosts from his past. Poor Harold, he's still plagued by problems that he thought were finished and taken care of in Killer Nerd. All he does is work, sleep and eat. Until one day he finds his soul mate, a female nerd from a local high school. Just when their lives were about to hit rock bottom they found each other. Will this relationship last? That would be telling. Expect some mondo psycho-madness and other strange stuff in this little watched film.Toby Radloff is perfect as the Killer Nerd. Being "America's Biggest Nerd" works in his favor as he reprises his role as Harold Kunkle from Killer Nerd. Despite the very low production values, it's a very entertaining film and it's worth seeking out the Troma disc because it has both films on it and other great stuff from Troma....of course!Recommended.

It's great to see Kunkel make a comeback. Even though this one can't live up to the standards of the first "Killer Nerd" (but what could live up to those lofty standards?), it is still amusing and a pleasant way to pass ninety minutes.
