I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
How sad is this?
Excellent but underrated film
Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
Ty Jones did an excellent job both as a director and as an actor. He managed to keep my interest from beginning to finish with me wondering why both the man and wife was being punished. As the movie progressed we were able to find the reason and see the strength of the couple surviving together and healing their loss and how they were able to change the way they were before this incident. I have watched a lot of independent as well as major films that was all slash and gore and no natural haunting and horror. Ty was able to put all of these ingredients into a very well made independent film. New directors and screenwriters can learn a great deal by watching this film.
This is a great twist on a twisted genre. I usually don't like all the gore out gross out movies. I really enjoyed this movie. The storyline was tight. The film starts out with an introductory scene that doesn't seem to fit the movie initially. As the twist ending is revealed it comes together. The only thing missing from this movie from a horror point of view was the lack of sexual explicit scenes. There is a little bit of infidelity. But I really wanted to see the visuals go all the way. Isn't that what these kind of movies are all about. I don't like to give spoilers so I won't. I'm not big into long reviews but this was a good movie. But this was an awesome movie. Acting was great. Editing was great. The music was very good. I highly recommend. Excellent Moral
Ty Jones hits the mark on capturing two important (read: valuable!) demographics, a halcyon-day-dreaming, stressed-out mom and her guts-and-cuss-loving teenage son. I am talking about me and my 15 year – old. Who knew a movie could capture the passionate heart and soul-crushing pain of both? Searching for a movie we both could enjoy,I never dreamed it would be at the intersection of this blood/slasher–cum-morality flick. Ty Jones manages to engage two normally mutually exclusive yet parallel existences to show that families can live in a world that can be either heaven or hell. The choice is completely ours.
Ty Jones poured his heart into this project and it shows on the screen! Great production value and some pretty awesome performances by Ty Jones, Aaron Laue and Mandy Bannon. Ty is a gifted story teller and has a great eye for cinema! Fun to be a part of it and happy to say I had the pleasure to work with Ty and his crew! Cutto's friend! There are some very scary moments in this film and it reminded me a little of Craven's first films and some of Hitchcock's especially with the Jimmy Stewart era! Jones tall and lonely character are what made films work in the 50's and 60's.Jeff East p.s. East could lose some weight for his next role!
