Makante Achchan takes us into the world of Viswanathan, who is a very ordinary man, a government employee. His world comprises of his wife Hema, his son Manu and daughter Meena. He takes life in an easy-going manner while Viswanathan wants Manu to gain a good education, work hard and earn a job. The difference in attitudes leads to personality clashes. This, and how it is resolved, form the plot of Makante Achchan.
