I think this was really cool! I honestly feel the old Kong needs to be upgraded big time and this sci-fi mix of the old Kong and a new one is actually a good idea! The film also has a sequel "Kong - Return to the Jungle". I think both the films actually work. Jason taking control of Kong telepathically is something reminiscent of the Giant Robot series but only cooler! Even the animation quality is pretty good. Maybe Peter Jackson should try this concept out for his next KONG film! All in all, kids of all ages should like this... The movie basically introduces us to a new Kong who has been reconstructed using the DNA of the original King Kong. Jason is his 'brother' i.e. he can telepathically connect with this this Kong and together they save the world!
