13 year old Micah's life has been full of trouble from its beginning. She's never known her father, lost her mother to cancer several years ago and more recently suffered the loss of her older sister Erin. Five months after being orphaned her cousin Noah and Uncle Tom take her in. Things seem normal at first but quickly take a turn for the worse. Micah begins to experience black outs, the "missing time phenomenon" and other supernatural manifestations. When it becomes violent, Micah and those around her come to the disturbing realization that something is after her - intent on harming her and those closest to her.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
THE DIABOLICAL is a high school indie drama wrongly labelled as a horror movie. Instead this is a psychological drama about a young girl suffering mentally after the death of her sister. She suffers from the usual hallucinations and nightmares that are a stock element of the indie genre. Very little happens of interest here, and the cheap camera-work makes for an ugly-looking film. Add in the thin characterisation and there's really not much reason to bother.
