It is a performances centric movie
Crappy film
best movie i've ever seen.
It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
Better than the usual Telugu masala action flicks. The style is somewhat trying to be like Hollywood thrillers but hasn't quite let go of the Telugu masala film aesthetics. The technical side s impressive but falls down when they settle for usual commercial tropes and making any of it useless. The plot is unnecessarily convoluted but for a commercial Telugu action film, this is quite an experiment and commendable that it got an actual plot unlike many of those films. As much as I love the eye-candy of the film Kriti Sanon, her scenes were just dragging the rest of the film which is already overlong.
I don't know why a film like nenokkadine is not appreciated and termed as a flop in box office?Routine shows like attarintiki daredi earning crores in the box office while one of the best experimentation in Indian film history-1 Nenokkadine flopped! Telugu people have gone mad.Why do tollywood always need a six song six fight formula to survive? Nenokkadine questions the routine tollywood formula and has succeeded in it.Hats off to Sukumar and Mahesh for giving a Hollywood range to tollywood.1 nenokkadine is about a rockstar's quest to avenge the death of his parents. But he suffers from a mental disorder which deceives his mind to take hallucinations as reality and reality as hallucination. He has to overcome his mental disorder to succeed in his mission.Mahesh Babu is just terrific. It is one of the best role in his career. Most of the Telugu heroes try the same scripts to survive in this industry. But mahesh was very bold to accept a script which is never heard off before. The acting of mahesh in the climax sequence is superb. He proved that he is the only 'number one' in tollywood through this film. The heroine Kriti Sanon did lent good support to hero and her screen pairing with mahesh looked fresh. I can't disclose the name of the villains. All the villains did good job.But the real hero of this movie is director sukumar who gave a Hollywood range to this film. His direction was excellent. He mixed logic to the movie which most Telugu films lack. One beautiful scene I can never forget from this film is that of mahesh running after his real life son gautham .This scene portrayed hero's search for his past. That is the best scene of this movie in my opinion. The Rubik cube scenes were also good. The story and screenplay of the film is fresh and daring. Dialogues are well written. Camera and editing done to perfection.Locations very good.Action scenes just more than outstanding or excellent. Coming to music , DSP rocked. The song 'Who are you' is my personal best.Overall 1 nenokkadine is one of the best of Indian films. Those who blame tollywood for lack of freshness should watch nenokkadine. A benchmark and a textbook for future films to come. I am film lover from Kerala who is not too good in Telugu language. Even I liked this film. This film is one of the strong reasons why I see Mahesh Babu as the next 'one and only number 1' of south India. My mark for 1 nenokkadine: 1000000000000 out of 10Note:Even though the film is recorded as a flop in telugu ,it went on to become a mega hit in Kerala and overseas market.
see as it was a box office flop,i still doubt how it was flop. After watching this movie i was in refresh state like awesome movie, honey punch movie. Still wondering it is box office flop movie, but don't let you down guys it is an awesome movie, let the literacy rate in A.p increase then sure it will be small screen hit in future. keep on doing this movies 10/10 for all crew 9.9/10 for music, all the best guys.Psychological Thriller ,genuine, super fine locations ,awesome director, mind blowing screenplay, though story line look like old if you direct and screenplay like this everyone will watch the movie for days without boring
Hearsay had it that the movie was a rehashed adaptation of the Bourne series. We can assure you it isn't. That said, that said the film seems like an earnest attempt to fashion a spy thriller (in which the protagonist is in search of his true identity) to the dictates of the mainstream Tollywood potboiler template. We'll try to take you through the process of how a filmmaker looking to adapt a Hollywood thriller in Telugu would have to do.Firstly, clichés of the Hollywood spy thriller genre would need to be tinkered with suitably, starting from the protagonist. Since the intelligence wing of India, RAW, doesn't quite have the same ring as the MI6 or FBI, having the hero play a spy could prove detrimental. Playing an undercover cop or investigative journalist is considered too passé these days. A rock star is considered to be the epitome of user cool these days (in Telugu cinema parlance at least), and needless to say offers numerous song possibilities and the excuse to dress up the hero in a multitude of looks. So rocker it is.Now adapting to the central conflict of the plot - stolen identity - would be a real challenge. It would be too old fashioned to have his loose his memory due to a head injury sustained in an accident. Having his memory erased by the villains would get too implausibly hi-tech for the plot. We also need something that can bring in some melodrama... like the loss of a loved one.Voila, Gautham is introduced awakening from a nightmare from his childhood where he's on the run, dodging bullets from goons. It is followed by a prophetic rock number that goes Who are you?...giving you a hint of the central theme of the film. The song ends in a spectacular chase sequence after which Gautam surrenders to the police, confessing to killing three people who murdered his parents. It is revealed, our man is suffering from a brain disorder resulting from a 25% shortfall in Grey matter in his brain! As a result he can't tell reality from hallucination, the doctor explains after proving that Gautam doesn't remember how his parents looked.Did he really have parents? Did the get killed? Is it all a creation of his bleeped up brain? The rest of the film is designed to answer these questions in a rather complicated way. There is a touch of sophistication in the way the screenplay plays out. The cinematography is very slick and creates an intense mood with dull color pallets. The acting by Mahesh Babu is pretty intense right though despite going overboard with the brooding act a few places. He wears a permanent frown right through the movie without as much as half a grin even when he proposes love. He seems to have worked on his dancing which should cheer his fans big time. Kriti Sanon looks pretty and well enough to justify her role. The rest of the cast is just filling the numbers and do what they are told. The writing is sharp right through albeit being not so whistle worthy. It packs quite a few smart one liners delving into the nature of truth, identity, pain etc. The music though comes as a dampener, as does the background score which seems too pretentious. The action sequences are very Hollywood inspired but fall well short of being breathtaking and end up looking cheesy. So the bottom line is simple. The Tollywood format of six songs, five fights and loads of entertainment and melodrama makes it impossible to respectably adapt racy Hollywood styled suspense thrillers.
