Just a century ago, there were an estimated 1 million deer living on the North American continent; now their numbers exceed 30 million.

The Worst Film Ever
A brilliant film that helped define a genre
After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.
Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
I watched this nature documentary on Neflix and it's currently available in the States to screen online. This installment of "Nature" is about a seemingly ordinary topic...the American Whitetail Deer. They are rather common and the film is about their amazing ability to adapt to suburbia....much like "Nature" and their documentary about raccoons. According to the show, they've gone from under a million about a century ago to over 30,000,000! How and why they've blossomed in number was only partially explained in the show...a shortcoming of the episode. In addition, the show talks about the Key Deer (a subtype of the Whitetail) and albino versions of the Whitetail. Very informative and interesting.
