Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

It's a movie that takes the audience out of their world and thrusts them into another world. A world of extreme poverty. A world where people have no rights and no way to get justice for the crimes committed against them. And it shows how the gospel can make a tremendous difference in the lives of the victimized and those around them. As I heard the story of gal after gal I was horrified to hear about the terrible things that they had experienced in their lives. It's amazing that they didn't commit suicide with all of the pain that they had to go through, and I'm thankful they didn't end their lives because God has a bright future for them. As they gave their lives to Christ their situation didn't change at first, but because God changed them on the inside, their reaction to life changed on the outside. And God also started changing things in their surrounding circumstances as well and it was amazing to see. Gospel of Asia does great work in that area of the world, and this movie shows the difference Jesus can make in someone's life.

This movie tells of the appalling plight of women in Asia. It was very eye opening and motivated me to take action. It is a documentary, but doesn't feel like it, as you hear many heart wrenching stories. However, the film does not stop there. It details what can be done and what is being done to give these people hope. Women have come so far in the past hundred years for equality, however, there are many places where they are not only treated inadequately, but are treated worse than animals. It is truly mind boggling to realize how much of this is still going on. It is a vivid reminder that there is still so much to be done to help the women and children in this world. The tale is masterfully told in vibrant detail. You can't help but have your heart ache for these lovely people. I think this is a movie that everyone should see. A great date movie if you want to get a glimpse into your partner's heart.

This documentary takes you into the heart of India and shows amazing footage of remote villages and bustling cities. More importantly, it speaks for the millions of women who have no voice and are living lives of hopeless misery, everything from girl infanticide to sex trafficking to bride burnings, just to name a few - women truly are one of the most oppressed people groups in the world! You will be moved to tears when you view Veil of Tears. But - it doesn't leave you that way! There is hope, and there is something you can do to change the lives of women who have lost hope. This documentary is filmed on location, and narrated by award winning music artist Natalie Grant, who has a personal passion for women in Asia after visiting there for herself. I recommend this film to everyone who wants to spend their time watching a high-quality, worthwhile feature.
