This 45-minute documentary is a gem.Everything I need to know that I didn't learn in kindergarten--nor grammar school, high school, college, or post-graduate work. How did we get so dumb? This movie is now easily viewed on video-sharing websites so there is no excuse not to see it.Please watch it, tell your friends about it, make your kids watch it. I think we're in a race against time to wake up as a nation (in the United States) or, as newly enlightened individuals, if not able to save this nation, to begin again, perhaps, armed with the knowledge and ideals being made known by means of the Internet and works like this one, and to reconstitute a new country like the one our Founding Fathers envisioned.God Bless America.

At first I was very intrigued by this film. Russo effectively argues that there is no federal law requiring you to pay income tax. When I finished watching the movie, I was actually a little angry. Unfortunately, the truth is that this movie is nothing more than a piece of Libertarian nut-job propaganda that does not shy away from straight up lying to it's viewers. His main hook throughout the film is "there is no federal law requiring US citizens to pay income tax". Well after about three minutes on Google not only was I able to find the law (Title 26 Section 1 of the US CODE), I also found at least 30 Supreme Court cases in which people fought the income tax laws and lost. If you're a fan of ridiculous conspiracy theories that use the same scare tactics that they criticize the US Government for, then you'll enjoy this film.

None of us want to believe the facts brought out in this documentary. Russo makes many of them undeniably clear. If you are suspicious of the underlying forces at work in American government, you'll be scared, stunned and angered by this sad expose. You'll see a former IRS commissioner squirm when asked exactly the questions he doesn't want to answer. This documentary helped me piece together many bewildering actions of those in government. Why are we occupying Iraq and building permanent bases? Why the constant scare tactics about the "War on Terror"? Why is the media so absent on certain issues? NPP? This movie explains a lot. Every American should see it.Authoritarian rulers have come to power over and over again throughout history. Why do you believe it can't happen in our country?

Pingo-2 from Sweden tells Russo "Please get an education". I guess many people from Europe are not entirely informed about the subjects covered. Its known that Education inside America and Europe has been tampered with on purpose. So the phrase "Please get an education" is a very stupid remark in the context of the material covered by "from Freedom to Fascism". One of the conclusions after digging into the subjects covered, is that people who really want to know have to educate themselves. There's no other way around it. This documentary is in fact an very important milestone to GET people educated, because our bought and paid for educators certainly won't tell the un-tampered truth. I praise Russo for what he did.
