Beautiful, moving film.

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

BioZombie is a very amusing, but effective Hong Kong styled zombie movie with nods to George Romero's Dawn Of The Dead and video games like Killer Instinct and House Of The Dead. While BioZombie is much more on the comedy side, it plays just as well when the film gets darker and more intense. Our unlikely heroes are Woody Invinceable (Jordan Chan) and Crazy Bee(Sam Lee) who are sweet dudes that work at a VCD store in the mall, but generally hit on girls and harass people. When a soft drink turns people into zombies our dudes rise to the occasion with the other survivors in the mall including the lovely (and very yummy) Rolls, the love interest of Woody and Sushi Boy(who is a good zombie that protects Rolls because he is madly in love with her). Overall, BioZombie is a fun zombie flick with solid acting and good direction(directed by Wilson Yip), but those unfamiliar with Hong Kong cinema may not get the humor and horror purists might not think it has enough gore. For those that get it, BioZombie is an awesome movie and a worthy entry in the zombie genre.

I am a big fan of zombie films as i am a big fan of Hong Kong films, so i couldn't skip this one.Bio-Zombie is a pretty good and funny horror comedy, spoofing the Dawn of the dead scenario (shopping mall full of zombies), Bio-zombie is not a gore fest, it's more like a horror comedy that everybody can watch.Besides the spoof of the Dawn of the dead scenario, there are many homages to video games (Resident Evil and House of the dead) and other situations found in horror movies.My only complaint are the first 20 or 30 minutes, they are pretty boring and i was almost going to turn-off the movie, but the rest of the movie is pretty good.

This movie serves its purpose well enough, despite that it's an heavily flawed one.The movie is being pretty simplistic. It purely relies on its main concept and there is not really any depth or development to be found in this movie, to its story or characters. This is a bit of a complaint, since the movie could had been a far better one, if it had taken itself a bit more serious.Like so many Hong Kong genre movies, this one has plenty of humor in it. I would say that this movie is about 70% a comedy and only 30% a true horror. Not that its ever hilarious or truly clever and original with its comedy but it at least makes the movie a fun one to watch throughout.Not too sure that the fans of horror and the zombie sub-genre in particular will be that pleased with this movie. It's being called Hong Kong's answer to George Romero's "Dawn Of The Dead" but this movie in all honesty comes never nowhere close to its level of excellence. It's just too simplistic and not serious enough for that, though on its own right this is definitely still a watchable, fun little movie.If only the movie would had been a bit bigger they could had also done a bit more with its gore and zombies. It's now a fairly cheap looking movie, with cheap looking make-up effects and not quite enough gore and shock for a zombie movie really. There is gore and violence but most of this is happening off screen. Not sure if this was done because of budget reasons or if they actually wanted to go for a lower age rating. It's probably a combination of both.But oh well, the movie does definitely not bore and is simply entertaining throughout. this movie is great. It starts out FUNNY but progresses to be more serious near the end with funny gimmicks that don't really ruin the mood of the movie. The Budget is low but that doesn't make it a bad movie and it's hard making a Zombie Movie Good and Funny and this really does a good job and it has Emotions in it. It's not just all about gore but it has some good friendship story about the 2 main charachters i was suprised that they added some interesting side story to make it more sad then funny near the end.I love the funny stuff they put in the movie it's VERY smart.This is also not only the greatest dark comedy movie but a great TEEN Party movie! GET THIS MOVIE SPREAD THE WORD!This MOVIE ROCKS!
