Good movie but grossly overrated
In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Wish it had been another half hour longer. It was a great movie, and based on a really cool guy, Moe Berg. I really liked him and it was cool to see Paul Rudd in a drama. I would definitely recommend this movie.
Well acted and filmed. As much a biography that enlightens about a fairly unknown story as a spy story. The negative reviews seem to be by those hoping for a baseball flick.
I liked the movie. He was a very secretive person who lived a double life and had secrets and he never wanted to talk about what he did as a spy, so information about may be scarce.
The movie takes place before and during WWII, and covers the US government's attempts to infiltrate the Nazi atomic weapon program, and is centered around its protagonist Moe Berg who gets recruited to track down and possibly kill its head scientist Werner Heisenberg. A great cast made this film compelling, though I felt the movie could have benefited from being longer. Also the title is terrible and doesn't do this good movie justice
