So much average
Good concept, poorly executed.
Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Whether you're a fan of swimming or not, this film will captivate you from the beginning. As you're introduced to the stars, particularly 14 year old Missy Franklin, you immediately fall into following the story of development, struggle, and eventual success. You get to see two athletes working closely together but at the same time there's a juxtaposition of hardship and success, youth and experience, and personal struggle versus an almost naive self-confidence. In the end, it's a story of two strong women developing and persevering in their own ways to achieve their goals (and beyond!) and the story of the support system behind any great success.
