Great movie! If you want to be entertained and have a few good laughs, see this movie. The music is also very good,

Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.

This looked like a documentary about someone who's intentions were quite serious. However, at the end the doc takes a bizarre turn when he takes viagra and starts chasing women on the street. I guess the maker lost me there, as well as my interest.

Complete History of My Sexual Failures, A (2008) *** (out of 4)Director Chris Waitt gets called a lot of different things within the 90-minute running time of this documentary but as a male viewer I think you can add the word brave. The basic set-up to this film is that Waitt's is a complete failure with women so he sets out to interview his ex-girlfriends and see exactly what makes him so bad. Along the way he finds out he has an issue with his sexual "part" and also sets out to discover what the deal is. In today's world anyone with a camera can make a film and I'm sure there are countless men in the same position as Waitt but not everyone would be brave enough to put it on film and release it. I've often wondered what many of my ex-girlfriends think years after the relationship ended so watching this aspect of the film was the most interesting for me. For 90-minutes we see this guy get embarrassed not only by his past but also his current problems, which seem to be getting worse as time goes on. I think it's fair to say that many might question how legitimate this "documentary" is because we really don't know how many of these are actual girlfriends or if they were simply hired for the film. There are many girls he just met on MySpace and now they're in front of a camera pretty much being interviewed on the date. We even get some wild scenes where Waitt tries to correct his sexual problems, which results in a lot of full-frontal nudity and I"m sure most filmmakers would have turned shy facing these issues. The strangest and most questionable sequence happens when Waitt takes some Viagra, gets an erection that won't go away so he just hits the streets asking women for sex. Watching this film you will be amused at the length Waitt will go to in order to get a "story" but at the same time I think the biggest problem with this guy is in his head, which is something that is covered. I think most "troubled" men won't have many girlfriends yet that's really not the case here. We get to hear about all the girlfriends he has had in his life and the number isn't small so it's doubtful too many are going to feel sorry for him. Many are actually quite hot and many seem very sweet so again, there's not much in terms of feeling sorry for the guy. While the film does drag in spots and it's certainly not a complete success, I think there's enough charm to make it worth viewing at least once. The point of this film was for Waitt to learn about his problems and hope to correct them going forward. I'm not sure if he did this or not but perhaps it will at least have the viewers curious to know what their ex's would say about them.

Just watched this film and I have got to say it stirred up some mixed emotions! On the one hand Chris goes around stating his failure with women and that all his former girlfriends have dumped him. Well apart from his erectile dysfunction the guy does not do too bad. He never seems short of dates and some of the girls are quite desirable. On the one hand I felt some empathy towards the guy and on the other not. He seems the master of his own demise and his lack of punctuality, commitment is maybe the quite obvious route of his problems. His experiment with Viagra is quite unsettling. Especially when he goes on the rampage in search if a quick sexual fix. All in all a quite thought provoking film which makes for a refreshing change to the usual mainstream dross on offer.

The premise of this documentary sounded funny. But it soon became clear that there's not much more than the main character goofing around with he's videocam. A womanizer and self-centered mama's boy, I don't know how women sees this character, but as a man I didn't felt any sympathy from him. So not for men, maybe some women find his character cute (as some clearly do in real life), but for rest of us there is not much to see. His gonzo-style methods trying to help himself is done before and funnier and the whole erection problem seemed very fake. At the end this film is just a another way to boost filmmaker's ego. Not funny as a comedy and not touching as a drama.
