Excellent but underrated film
It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
What a lovely film!! This is a story you can enjoy with your whole family. And though it touches on truly, challenging topics (death, health care hardships, financial unfairness) it does so respectfully and in a family friendly manner.Walter, John Heard's character, is infinitely likable! As are the majority of the other characters. The laughs are mostly comfortable and at times a much needed release from a difficult situation.A true joy, Stealing Roses is a film about love, moments, and adventure told in a refreshingly relatable way. I loved it!
