The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties. It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.

Average film that could have been so much more, saved by great acting by lead Emraan Hasmi,Vidya Balan, Rajesh Sharma, and Namit Das. Film is about a bank robbery and how the three robbers are supposed to split the money after three months but the person with the money loses his memory in the interim. Dir Rajkumar Gupta tries hard to make a great film, but a very slow pace and the writing of the film are a big letdown. After a certain point the film doesn't move.What saves the film is some really fun moments, great acting by all 4 leads and a good ending. Overall one excepts more from such talent, exceptions were high after aamir and NOKJ but there are not meet. But the film is still enjoyable just don't walk in with too many exceptions.

I am still confused what was the title all about. Who is Ghanchakkar?, Raj Kumar Gupta or Sanjay Atre ( Emraan Hashmi). Ghanchakkar is either good or bad. Writer Raj Kumar Gupta and Parveez Sheikh had a very good premise at hands but they made an adaptation out of it which is neither pleasing nor upsetting. It's a mixture of both. Sometimes it's really interesting and at times it falls flat on the surface. With 20-25 minutes of less Ghanchakkar could have been, if not great, a better movie. But the problem is that the writers are themselves confused in What to do next?. Raj Kumar Gupta who made a brilliant Aamir and thought provoking No One Killed Jessica provides us an average work this time. He was too good in his previous two movies but unfortunately not so good in this one.Despite these negative points Ghanchakkar is interesting at times because of its unpredictability. You just keep on asking questions to yourself until the thrilling climax appears. Raj Kumar Gupta says with Ghanchakkar that life is full of dark comedy in itself. The dialogue 'Tumlogo ne Chota Chetan ko Kabhi bada hi nahi hone Diya' is one of the examples.The one scene where Sanjay doesn't say a single word despite the salt in the Fried Rice is less and even discards the idea of taking it just because his wife would throw his plate in the garbage then,says it all what RKG is trying to say.The USP of the movie lies in its premise and performances. Emraan Hashmi (Sanjay Atre) provides weight to the movie by his who-is-that and what-is-that kind of performance. Sanjay Atre could do anything just to buy a bigger LED TV and ZEE CINEMA is his favorite channel. Now do I need to say anything more about his character?. He just amazes you with his act. Apparently he raises the bar once again after Shanghai which certainly was his career defining performance. Vidya Balan (Neetu) also did a pretty good job but her loudness sometimes irritates. Rajesh Sharma (Pandit) and Namit Das completes the full circle by adding whatever was missing in the acting department.Amit Trivedi's background score totally matches with the movie's theme and it stands out at times. The title song comes easy to your ear and is really catchy.Ghanchakkar lies in the middle of above average and a good movie.At times it is so much fun,interesting and new but sometimes the jokes don't work as if they are trying to make us laugh but we really don't and it eventually adds to the dull moments of the movie.Just don't keep your expectations too high it might surprise you.

This one is definitely comparable to the 2007 Anurag Kashyap cult classic 'No-Smoking' If u love cult classics (like I do) you'd definitely enjoy this one. Emraan Haashmi and Vidya Balan have rendered tremendous performances as a couple trapped right in the center of a web of uncertainties and misunderstandings. Their overall condition as well as their relationship as husband and wife is rendered even more suffocating and is stretched to extreme limits because of the constant watchfulness of the two gangsters played very convincingly by Rajesh Sharma and Nandit Das. Nothing can be taken for granted in this film which starts testing your IQ and personality from the first shot till the very last frame...9 stars from this fan..Peace..

let begun with why we watch movie . we watch for entertainment , for fun and to look for some effort of nobility among others.this movie focus mainly of husband-wife relationship among daily chaos . which i think has covered it well by actors .the villains to done their pat at dark comedy role .so through out the movie their is a comic feeling .. which at end blunts as splashed simple .. either a twist or a simple progression with the usual satire wood have been justified rather then a sudden change from comedy to tragedy .. its a movie where audience laugh all through only to see a tragic . making no-sense unjustified end (such end can not be the end neither it ties the loose strings it put your effort and your laughing meaningless)
