Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

I used to be a fan of Doug Benson, but it seems as though the countless amounts of marijuana he's inhaled has made him far too lazy to even write down jokes for his own stand up special. There is literally a HUGE section of this comedy special where he is literally just reading tweets from people in the audience, commenting on how ridiculous it is that he's reading tweets as stand up. This stand up show seems like Doug just got blazed then went on stage and tried to wing it and improvise and the result is painfully unfunny. I was high when I watched this and even I didn't laugh. Step your damn game up Doug. This stuff is embarrassing.

Spoiler alert: Doug Benson smokes and ingests marijuana. Apologies that this review just fully gave away his entire hour-long set at Seattle's Neptune Theater but you have luckily been spared the boredom of having to watch it. That Benson drones on about the practice for a full sixty minutes could be used by anti-drug advocates if they want to make the claim that pot-smoking makes you boring. To be fair he does read about 5 tweets from audience members to pad the performance out to an hour but stops when one proves to be funnier than he is. Also used to pad out the video are an intro and extro showing Doug smoking pot in the alley behind the theater. This is also boring. In short, this review will be rather brief give how little Benson offers to discuss.

I've seen Doug in a few movies/shows and found him somewhat funny but this special was really just lazy and lacked any cleverness or creativity. He read tweets on stage, which is pretty bad anyway but also his riffing on the tweets really didn't enhance it and he relied on twitter to supply the humour. He rambled pretty incoherently and mostly made jokes about smoking weed.I really don't see how you could find this more than marginally funny unless you're absolutely stoned. If you're looking for something more than background noise, I recommend Bill Burr, Jim Jefferies, Louis CK, Aziz Ansari, Mike Birbiglia, Chelsea Peretti, all of which can be found on Netflix.4/10
