I love this movie so much
I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
An abysmal, astoundingly dull, tedious, long-winded, incomprehensible, pretentious; I could go on and on with derogatory adjectives about this film. I had to stay with it as we were going to show it to a group of cinema enthusiasts (but not necessarily contemporary art enthusiasts) and so it was my job as an artist to see what it was like. We have decided to show something, almost anything else, although we have already printed the season's schedule. It had been recommended to us by the Goethe Institute as an intriguing film about the Berlin Contemporary Art scene - my eye! There is 'mockdocumentary'DVD of 70 minutes as the filmmakers call it, as well which I suppose explains some of what is going on but by then I'd had enough.
